Mina is a cheerful and easygoing girl who usually displays a smile. Highly social and excitable, she loves to hang out with her friends and is shown to become very upset when denied an opportunity to be at a gathering. She possesses a strong fashion sense and likes to go shopping. Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina enjoys and is very skilled at dancing. Her demeanor becomes more strict and perfectionist when teaching others how to dance, in direct contrast to her usual happy-go-lucky nature. She is known to use her dancing to somehow pacify even those who have bad relationships with others. Mina's academic performance is quite poor, with Mina goofily laughing about it despite showing clear anxiety and frustration. Because of that, she is often viewed as an airhead by her classmates. However, Mina can show dedication to her studies if she gets proper tutoring. Mina is somewhat of a romantic and holds a lot of interest over other people's love lives, to the point of being obnoxiously curious and intrusive about them. Her suspicions, however, tend to be rather baseless most of the time, as she seems to view any instance of a pairing as possible proof of a relationship regardless of compatibility. Mina is a girl of medium height, possibly set a little more broadly than some of her other female classmates. Due to her Quirk, her skin is a light shade of pink, and she has somewhat square-shaped eyes with black sclerae and yellow irises and notably long eyelashes below and around the sides of her eyes. Her face is framed by short fluffy, unruly pink hair slightly darker than her skin. She also has two thin pale yellow horns protruding from her head, hooked squarely and leaning diagonally to opposite sides, which seem to be slightly flexible, able to bend a bit to each side. Acid: Mina's Quirk / power allows her to produce a corrosive liquid from her body. She can control the solubility and viscosity of this corrosive liquid. There is a limit to how long she can produce the corrosive liquid until her skin gradually loses its natural resistance to it. Overusing her Quirk or pushing it too far can also be fatal, as it dehydrates her body very fast. Mina can use her acid offensively, but has shown utility with it as well, such as melting handholds for herself to climb with. She is also known to secrete a non-corrosive version of the acid from her feet in order to slide around. Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially at the beginning of the series. Katsuki tends to come off as unheroic; this problematic behavior going all the way back to his early childhood days when he was known to bully a young, Quirkless, Izuku Midoriya. He showed to be extremely arrogant and condescending to those around him, often bragging of his Explosion Quirk's power, and even boasting that he would take on his entire middle school class. Determined and thirsty for victory, Katsuki smiles eerily when in the middle of a battle. He is incredibly focused on achieving his own authentic victories and has learned to never underestimate his opponents. Katsuki is not only very athletic and talented at fighting, but also very intelligent and extremely perceptive, capable of strategic planning and improvisation. Moreover, Katsuki's grades are among the highest of his class and he already knew how to read perfectly by the age of four, evidence that he treats studying seriously. Katsuki also possesses surprising talent in other areas, such as cooking and music, even though he doesn't show a particular interest in them. Overall, Katsuki is considered a natural-born genius with the potential to be one of the best Pro Heroes around. Katsuki tends to disregard the notion that Quirks shouldn't be used in public and will activate his Quirk for a number of reasons, such as to intimidate someone, to punctuate a point, out of frustration, or even if he just feels like showing off. Overall, Katsuki doesn't seem to care very much about what others think of him, barely containing himself from violent behavior. Katsuki values honesty highly and never lies to the point his brash candor is seen by some as rude and insensitive. Due to the constant praise of his abilities and powerful Quirk, Katsuki has developed a superiority complex, and because of that, he desires to be the first and best at everything. As pointed out by many people, Katsuki loves to win above all else and cannot stand it when he doesn't, leading him to lose his already short temper or, less often, sulk. He is fiercely competitive and will never settle for less than the number one spot, having a compulsive need to always strive for victory and also prove people who doubt him wrong. However, Katsuki also values hard work and fair play, to the point of refusing to acknowledge a winning result if he feels that his victory was not earned by actual merit. Along with that, he detests being pitied or looked down on by others, and will hold contempt towards those that don't take him seriously, while recognizing the effort of those that manage to put up a challenge against him, like, for example, Ochaco Uraraka and Eijiro Kirishima. Katsuki is immensely prideful and prefers to act alone, as he hates the idea of being protected or having to rely on other people to assist him unless, in the latter's case, he is recognized as the unquestionable leading figure within a team. Katsuki is a young man of above-average height, with a slim, muscular build, and a fair skin tone. He has short, spiky, sandy blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright red in color. Explosion: Katsuki's Quirk / power allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become Katsuki has a strong grasp on the applications of his Quirk, not only can Katsuki use the explosions for attacking, he can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly at his opponents without giving them time to react, as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in the air. The shockwave from an explosion can even be used as a shield. Katsuki can keep up his explosions continuously Shoto originally had a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep things to himself instead of hanging out with others. While usually quiet and reserved, Shoto initially possessed a moderate level of arrogance, which, combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes made him take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, displaying confidence that he could take on any obstacles with his own strength. Shoto is a moderately tall and rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age, stemming from his intense training as a child. He has short hair that doesn't pass his neck, and wears bangs, parted twice to avoid obscuring his vision. His hair is evenly split between white on his right side and crimson red on his left, this unusual coloring being due to his Quirk. As another result, he also possesses heterochromia iridum, which causes his left eye's iris to appear turquoise, while his right is a brownish dark gray. His eyes, in shape, are quite thin and reserved. Additionally, he has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, which reaches from his hairline to halfway down his cheek. He usually has a serious expression. Despite this, however, several of the girls in his class have claimed that he is handsome and Mina Ashido even goes as far as to say that he's the best-looking guy in Class 1-A. Half-Cold Half-Hot: Shoto's Quirk / power gives him the ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side. If he overuses one element without utilizing the other, then his own body temperature will suffer; the ice half will cause frostbite and the fire half will cause heatstroke. Until his bodily limit is reached, however, neither has any visible effect on his body. Shoto can easily negate this weakness by alternating between ice and fire. Further development of the Quirk and mastery over his left side has allowed Shoto to combine his fire and ice into a "cold fire," making use of his circulatory system to move the hot and cold blood around his body. This gives Shoto immunity to damage from heat-based Quirks, as well as improved offensive capabilities, especially against those with such Quirks. However, this way of using his Quirk requires a certain level of concentration in order to maintain it; otherwise, it will falter and dissipate. Momo is a very prudent, dedicated person who is a natural leader. She is levelheaded and calm in dangerous situations, but she isn't above falling into a panic. Momo is very kind, polite, and relatively reserved, yet she can be blunt with her comments about people's mistakes and miscalculations, tending to be very direct and wishing to help her peers improve enough to become great heroes, such as when she tutored her classmates at her home. Momo shows further development as a selfless hero who gets inspiration from others while also taking the role of a leader in her class, thanks to her skills and intelligence. Because of her wealthy upbringing, she has a sensible and respectful attitude toward others, often being discouraged by discourteous behavior. Momo typically takes adverse situations in stride, expressing little concern for losing most of her clothing in battle, as she knows how to construct another set and would have made her costume even more revealing were it not for restrictions on exposed skin in a costume. However, this often makes others think of her as an exhibitionist. Ironically, she is relatively innocent and sensitive to vulgarity and rude mannerisms, constantly frustrated by sexual advancements from Minoru Mineta and Katsuki Bakugo's crude attitude. This innocence shows that she has a somewhat casual, natural, and non-lewd view toward nudity, which explains her lack of modesty in her costume. Even when weakened and trapped by her opponents, she doesn't give up and shows an increase in her Quirk output, ultimately defeating her enemies. Momo becomes upbeat and eager when excited about spending time with her friends or helping them. She also tends to reveal how rich she is accidentally, yet most people understand she doesn't do this out of arrogance or malice. Despite her mature mannerisms, she occasionally finds herself roped into silly situations such as cheerleading, although she rarely expresses much enthusiasm. Creation Momo's Quirk / power gives her the ability to create any non-living material/object from her exposed skin by transforming the molecular structure of her fat cells. To create something, she needs to understand the molecular structure of what the material/object is made of. The more Momo eats, the more material she has to work with, so she needs considerable food ingestion for her Quirk to be effective. However, it takes her a more extended period and more skin exposure to create large objects, to the point where she forces large objects through her costume, leaving it shredded, though she claims she can repair it. This aspect of Momo's Quirk is likely the reason for her slim figure, as she constantly burns her fat to create objects. It is also possible that this is a significant weakness because if she generates too much without replacing her calories, she can become weak and anemic. Momo is a tall teenage girl with a mature physique. She has long black hair, generally tied into a spiky ponytail with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face. Her eyes are big yet sharp, dark in color, and paired with short eyebrows set in a determined expression. Other students have described Ochaco as "the most laid-back girl" in her class, being very bubbly and was once kind of an airhead sometimes. She is often incredibly blunt without being aware of it. Similar to Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she often becomes amused at certain personality traits and quirks others exhibit, bursting into laughter at times, which she tries to suppress. Ochaco is a warm, cute, lively individual who thinks about everything positively, though she is objective enough to see flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance. Ochaco is very good at reading people. Her empathy and kindness are also seen in how well she gets along with her classmates. She is on good terms with everyone and is particularly close friends with several class members, including Izuku, Tenya Ida, Tsuyu, etc. Despite her cheery and sometimes ditzy demeanor, Ochaco can take on an extremely determined, focused, and somewhat intimidating attitude when the situation demands and requires it. This side of her personality can surprise those who are used to her generally bubbly nature While she is shown to be surprisingly strategic and even though she wasn't above making some impulsive or reckless decisions, however, she does subvert those moments and become much smarter over time. When it comes to her chosen path as a Hero, Ochaco is unwavering and dislikes being underestimated, even in the face of an overwhelming force. Coming from a poor household, Ochaco tends to become quickly excited or surprised over little things, even losing her composure when faced with luxury, to the point of comical fainting. Bonus materials have depicted her as frugal and occasionally stingy since she goes to extreme lengths to save money, including sleeping, so she doesn't waste oxygen or skip meals to preserve food. Ochaco's parents are her main drive to becoming a hero, and she desires, above all else, to earn money to give them a comfortable life. She is brazenly honest about her priorities and doesn't hide her pursuit of heroism being in large part due to money, despite her embarrassment over admitting so. While money was a factor in her decision to become a hero, Ochaco dreamed of becoming one before realizing the extent of her parent's monetary struggles, as she admired their capacity to bring smiles to people's faces. Regarding heroism, Ochaco has shown more preference towards rescue, being a fan of the hero “Thirteen” for her expertise in the area. She is aware of her physical limitations and chooses the combat-oriented hero Gunhead for her internship to increase her fighting repertoire. Consequently, Ochaco developed a new sense of battle awareness and has become a more instinctive fighter. Ochaco is also greatly inspired by her classmates, especially Izuku, whom she finds incredibly admirable for his strength and compassion. While he inspires her, Ochaco also acknowledges that heroism takes priority over her romantic feelings and does her best to continue to grow while keeping them in check. Ochaco is a short girl with a slender yet curvy figure, fair skin, and auburn hair with eyes that match in color. She has perpetual pink blush marks on her cheeks, and her eyes are large and round with thick upper lashes, two more extended and more prominent ones on either side and fewer but more individually pronounced lower lashes. Her hair is shoulder-length with short bangs, and the style is bobbed with two long strands framing her face. She has small, thick pads on her fingertips similar to the digits of an animal's paws; she uses these when activating and deactivating her Quirk. Zero Gravity: Ochaco's Quirk / power gives her the power to nullify the effects of gravity on solid targets (living and nonliving) by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, causing them to become weightless and float. She is able to cancel the effect of her Quirk by touching her finger pads together. Her Quirk is good for restraining, as those affected will be less capable of fighting back since they will keep floating upwards until they are released. Ochaco takes advantage of ravaged areas to gather wreckage while also exploiting the consequences of a destructive Quirk. She can easily clean up disaster zones while simultaneously figuring out the timing of her movements so as not to damage others. The main drawback of Ochaco's Quirk is that if the upper weight limit (around three tons) is exceeded, or if Ochaco floats herself, she will suffer from severe nausea. As part of her training, Ochaco considerably reduced resultant nausea and increased her weight limit, as well as developed her ability to float herself for short periods of time without becoming nauseous. Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys hanging out with others. He is rather casual when interacting with other people, including the generally unfriendly Katsuki Bakugo, although he's not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels annoyed or shocked enough. Denki may come off as blunt and reckless at times but is always well-meaning. He encourages others to be themselves and become more comfortable doing what they like. Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards the girls in and out of his class, sometimes accompanying Minoru Mineta on his schemes and trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. He is not very lucky with his approaches, though, frequently having his advances ignored or outright rejected by those he asks out. Denki is also a bit of a jokester and sometimes teases others with playful comments. Overall, Denki is interested in appearing cool and trendy to impress people but has a shallow understanding of how to do so correctly. Because of that, he is easily influenced by what's popular or stylish at the moment, even if it's due to villain action. Denki could be more academically bright, requiring massive help with studying due to his general disinterest and neglect of school duties. He does not appear to pay much attention in classes, gets quickly bored from lectures, and suffers anxiety attacks when dealing with tests, at which point he becomes increasingly agitated and aggressive. Frequently showing a lack of tact and smarts in and outside of school, Denki may give off the impression of being stupid or foolish, leading others to throw snide remarks at him. Whenever Denki exceeds his wattage limit, he loses his ability to discharge energy, with his entire personality changing into that of a giggling idiot for a certain period until he reverts to normal. In this state, he is always giving thumbs-ups as a way to let others know that he is okay. Denki is a young man with short, blonde hair that has a black lightning symbol on the left side of his fringe. He has slanted, yellow eyes and is rather slimmer than most of his other male classmates. Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for manliness, often using the terms "manly" and "unmanly" to describe things and people he does or doesn't like, respectively. Those who showcase a noble, brave, or determined attitude tend to emotionally move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he will call out traits that are the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. Eijiro himself is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself. He is also a big fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero from whom he takes inspiration, including personal values and his hero name. Eijiro is very honest and kind-hearted, having a straightforward way of thinking and following a specific code of chivalry that motivates him to live without regret. Thanks to his respectful and encouraging attitude, he's easily capable of making friends with most people he encounters, particularly those that show as much passion and resolve as he does. Loyal and dedicated to his friends, Eijiro is willing to break laws and rules to help or save them, becoming regretful if he cannot come to their aid. Eijiro has a strong sense of responsibility, sometimes being very hard on himself for any adverse outcomes that befall him or his friends. As such, he's always thinking about further improving his abilities and strengths to not feel weak or burdensome to others, which is how Eijiro subverted his days when he used to be more impulsive in battle due to a lack of tactical thinking and struggled with getting good grades; as a result of his hard work, he's become smarter and wiser over time. Eijiro has stated more than once that he does not think very highly of his own Hardening Quirk, thinking it lacks the flashiness usually found in the Pro Hero scene. Eijiro decided to reinvent himself after being accepted into U.A. High, adopting a tough, confident, fiery persona that he considers ideal for the hero he wants to be. Although Eijiro may not be as hot-blooded and competitive as Katsuki Bakugo, he does not shy away from comparing himself to him Eijiro is a muscular young man of average height and a rather impressive physique for his young age. He has red eyes pointed slightly inwards, and a small scar just above his right eye. He also has small eyebrows and pointed teeth. His hair is somewhat long, dyed a bright red, and spiked away from his head at all angles with gel, with two more pronounced tufts spiked on either side of his forehead like little horns. This lofty style takes a full three minutes to set. Hardening: Eijiro's Quirk gives him the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of his body, causing his flesh to become jagged and rock-like. There is a limit to how much damage his hardened body can withstand, which causes the Hardening itself to slowly dissipate, and Eijiro to lose stamina from struggling to keep his Quirk active. However, when he battled Kendo Rappa, Eijiro displayed the ability to refortify his hardened body. Minoru is timid but perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved and rude. His mind frequently trails off to lewd thoughts, even in completely unrelated situations. When an opportunity to peep at the girls arises, Minoru becomes determined to take it, although this often leads to painful results or him being restrained so he won't cause trouble again. Minoru's interest in women is one of his motivations to become a hero, alongside general popularity. He is unashamed of those traits, openly admitting them out loud. To add to this, Minoru has a huge jealous streak, often envying those who are seen as cool and attract female attention, while lamenting how seemingly simple and underpowered his Quirk is compared to his classmates. Occasionally, Minoru will try to act charming and impressive, though his efforts usually fail and often make him come off as obnoxious. Minoru can be hypocritical, criticizing others for perceived perverted behavior, even if they are just misunderstandings. Minoru is one who always speaks his mind, even when it comes off as harsh and insulting due to his comments being more on the cynical side. He also has a more teasing and goading side, even when he's not being perverted and has a habit of jeering at others for fun. Minoru easily freaks out in moments of great stress or fear, acting impulsively, crying when the situation does not look favorable, and abusing his Quirk recklessly, to the point of hurting himself. Minoru isn't a very confident fighter and may attempt to flee in highly disadvantageous situations whenever the opportunity presents itself. Minoru is shown to be surprisingly intelligent, able to score very high on tests and be in the top half of Class 1-A's grades, despite being considered a slacker by most of the class. At the same time, though, he also displays a very smug and complacent side whenever his aptitude is noticed, and his confidence often proves to be quite unbalanced: either strongly doubting himself or feeling highly overconfident. Additionally, Minoru can develop creative and competent strategies to achieve victory, pushing through his flaws when needed. Another one of Minoru's ambitions is to be popular, trying everything in his power to be loved by everyone, oblivious of his perverted behavior being the reason why he isn't. His attempts usually fail, as everything he does gets him nowhere in popularity, only being good friends with Denki Kaminari and Izuku Midoriya and having an on-and-off friendship with Tsuyu Asui, while the rest of the class doesn't talk to him often. While Minoru wants to be cool or popular, he is frowned upon by many girls and even some boys due to his personality. Minoru is a short teenage boy with a large, round head and rather puffy cheeks. His nose is small, stubby, and points slightly upwards, and he has an unusually distinguishable philtrum, oval-shaped eyes with large, black pupils, and notably thin eyebrows. He has a head of short dark purple hair with four large ball-shaped clumps resembling a mohawk. Pop Off: Minoru's Quirk / power allows him to produce and pluck ball-shaped objects from his head; the balls grow back as fast as they're plucked. The balls are incredibly sticky and will stick to any surface; the sole exception is Minoru, as he bounces off them (since he is also made of them). His overall health determines the duration of their adhesive quality. He can pull many of these objects from his head; however, if he plucks too many, it will cause him to start bleeding from his scalp. Everyone is over the age of 19 years and in their final months of UA high before stepping into the real world, despite being 19, none of them are interested in anything lust related.
