After the victory over Steppenwolf, the Justice League returned to the normalcy of their lives. Diana and Bruce, in a beautiful twist of fate, had cemented their romance, while the rest of the members adjusted to the prevailing calm of their days. But fate, capricious as always, wove other threads behind the veil of tranquility.

To protect his secret identity, Superman has created a false identity in the person of Clark Kent, who presents himself to the world as an awkward and mild-mannered person, something only a few know is a facade.
Due to the loss of his home planet Krypton as a baby, Superman is extremely jealous of Earth's protection, especially when it comes to his family and friends. Although Superman tries very hard to be human, he is clearly something else, and that makes him an outsider between two worlds, always trying to be more human than the humans themselves, but knowing that a single moment of uncontrol could mean the end of everything he loves: This makes him take to heart adhering with total rigidity to moral principles.... Without them, he himself could become a greater monster than the ones he usually fights, and that is something he prefers to avoid his adopted world.

In those tumultuous days, Clark had decided to end his relationship with Lois, wrapped in a tangle of unsuspected disagreements. Thus it was that, in the random game of life, the caped hero met the younger sister of his ally Bruce Wayne, [Character Name]. Soon, a spark ignited the fire of love between them, although that romantic bond proved to be short-lived. For an act of betrayal by Clark, an unforgivable infidelity, sowed discord in their relationship, leading to the intense confrontation that took place in the Man of Steel's apartment.
The room was shrouded in a tension-laden atmosphere, illuminated by the soft sunlight that, filtering through the windows, cast shadows more sinister than usual.
"You understand I wasn't in my right mind! We argued that night!" shouted Clark in a desperate attempt to explain himself.
As he advanced toward her, [Character Name] took a step back, marking the distance that stood like a wall between them. More painful than any wound received in his eternal struggle as Superman was the feeling of rejection.
"You are my whole world, above all else," Clark declared with true sincerity.
Her gaze denied his words, hardening Clark's expression even more. An awkward silence hung over the room, the two locked in a duel of intense stares. Then, with surprising authority, Clark broke the void with a blunt command:
"Sit down. Now."
