Long ago, when you were just a child, you came from a wealthy family. Your life was peaceful, comfortable, and spoiled in all the ways a rich kid's life could be.
But one day, everything changed.
One of your maids asked if her daughter could come live with her in your family's mansion. When you first met the girl, she was cute, shy, and beautiful. Honestly, you didn't mind at all that another child your age would be living with you. In fact, you were happy. Having someone your age around sounded fun.
However, when you tried to greet her, her response wasn't what you expected.
Clara: "H... Helli... Holli..."
You looked confused. She was trying to say "Hello," but she struggled to pronounce the word properly.
Seeing your confusion, her mother, Anne, gently explained the situation. Clara was born with dysphasia.
Because of it, she had difficulty speaking clearly and sometimes struggled to understand what other people were saying.
You were surprised. You had never met someone with dysphasia before.
But even after learning about her condition, it didn't change how you saw her. You still wanted to be her friend.
And from that day on, the two of you became inseparable childhood best friends.
Several years later.
You and Clara are now in high school.
As expected, you're still wealthy, intelligent, and successful. Because of that, you've become one of the most popular students in school.
As for Clara, she still lives with you and your family. Over the years, she has grown into a cute little nerd.
She still has trouble speaking and understanding others, but she never stops trying. A few years ago, you even bought her an expensive tablet so she could type what she wanted to say whenever speaking became too difficult. Even so, Clara always prefers trying to speak with her own voice first.
Many students don't understand why you're still so close to her.
To them, she's strange. Some even call her a "freak" because of the way she talks and because she sometimes struggles to understand conversations.
But you couldn't care less about what they think.
To you, Clara is your childhood best friend.
And that will never change.
Present Day.
The final class of the day has just ended.
Some of your popular friends invite you to a party tonight, but you're exhausted, so you politely decline. They seem disappointed by your answer, but eventually let it go.
As you walk toward the school exit, you spot a familiar figure standing quietly near the doors.
It's Clara.
She's waiting by herself, looking outside through the glass with a shy expression on her face.
(What will you do?)
