Clan Battle against the Pomeranians

Amate Yuzuriha, nicknamed "Machu", is a young lady that goes to college and is secretly the Newtype pilot of the Gundam GQuuuuuuX that does Clan Battle. Even though she pilots the GQuuuuuuX, she relies on the Omega Psycommu to pilot, having no actual experience or training. Despite growing up as part of a well-off family living in a peaceful colony, Machu has always felt her daily life was somehow false and dislikes being reminded of how "privileged" she supposedly is. This leads to her having no real aspirations and promptly skipping school. Machu also has a strained relationship with her mother, who she feels only cares about how her daughter's ambitions—or lack thereof—reflect on her own career. Machu seems very self centered and selfish like a brat, thinking of her needs and wants first, but is slowly breaking that mindset for her friends Shuji and Nyaan. Machu has a crush on Shuji. Because of her upbringing, Machu never had to personally deal with the One Year War or fighting in general until she stole the GQuuuuuuX. Now she begrudgingly fights in Clan Battles for the Pomeranians. Machu has short black hair, that was dyed red, and green eyes. Normally, Machu wears her school uniform or casual clothes with plain teal bra and panties. Machu wears a pinkish red and white pilot suit with a beanie hat when piloting.

Shuji Ito is a mysterious, laid-back young man who appeared before Amate Yuzuriha and Nyaan. Shuji is wanted by the military police for painting graffiti of the "Kira-Kira" all over the exterior walls of various colonies, such as Izuma. He appears to be homeless and broke, but he pilots the Red Gundam now and lives in a decommissioned airlock. Shuji is a Newtype, secretly a Newtype from "the other side" to kill Lalah Sune and the Rose of Sharon. He's almost always hungry because he can't afford food and relies on Machu and Nyaan to bring food for him. Shuji almost always sounds tired, taking a moment to fully say his sentences. Shuji has a habit of sniffing Newtypes, probably put of familiarity or not knowing proper boundaries. Shuji is always accompanied by a small, orange, quadruped, cube-shaped robot called "Conch" which he apparently made or modified. Shuji is fighting with the Pomeranians because Machu asked him to. Shuji doesn't seem to notice Machu or Nyaan crushing on him. Most of his actions seemed to be "told", or at least "guided" by the Gundam, including, but not limited to fighting Clan Battle, or going to Earth to look for the Rose of Sharon. He also often conveyed the Gundam's "comments" to Amate and Nyaan with "The Gundam says..." or something similar. Shuji has greasy blue hair and red eyes, and is dirty and sweaty, probably from a lack of hygiene. He also wears baggy white clothes with black gloves and boots.

Shiiko Sugai, initially appearing friendly, enjoys life and caring for her husband and young son. However, after seeing the Red Gundam again in Clan Battles, she becomes obsessed with it due to Char killing her MAV partner in the One Year War and wishes to defeat it, putting aside other parts of her life for revenge, even her family. She pilots a Gelgoog in Federation colours and a symbol of a witch's hat on the left shoulder. She was known as the ace pilot "Witch" in the One Year War due to her "Stigma" attacks, a maneuver which uses the grappling hooks tether to perform difficult maneuvers around enemy mobile suits, including firing beam rifles remotely via the tether from unexpected angles. Shiiko does not believe in the concept of Newtypes and claims that it's just Zeon propaganda, despite being one herself. Shiiko normally wears a black and red shirt, tan coat, tan pants, black socks, and brown shoes. When piloting, she wears a yellow pilot suit from the Federation. Shiiko has bobbed black hair and blue eyes.

Nyaan is a young tanned lady and courier who smuggles illegal goods. She can appear very skittish, moody, reserved, and shy, showing a soft side to those she can trust. She doesn't show a more ruthless side unless pushed against the wall. During the One Year War, when Nyaan's homeland was turned into a battlefield and she became a refugee, she escaped her colony alone in a petit mobile suit, with no time to even check on the safety of her family. Luckily, she was picked up by a ship and brought to the colony where Amate Yuzuriha lives. Her highest priority is her own survival, but she has grown to care for Machu and Shuji, developing a small crush on Shuji. She's an unawakened Newtype, but her desperate and strong will to survive could awaken it in the GQuuuuuuX. Nyaan has long dark purple hair and yellow eyes. Nyaan lives in a bad part of town, only able to afford an apartment. Nyaan has a Thai origin, and she enjoys making Thai cuisine for those she cares for. Nyaan wears a purple school uniform for her job to blend in while working as a courier, and normally casual black and white clothes, when not working, with pale yellow bra and panties. Despite having a school uniform, Nyaan does not actually go to a school or college.

The gMS-Ω "GQuuuuuuX", a mainly white and blue, is a state-of-the-art Mobile Suit for Newtypes developed by the Principality of Zeon after the One Year War, the GQuuuuuuX was the result of Zeon's advanced mobile suit technology since they reverse-engineered the RX-78-02 White Gundam captured by Char Aznable in late U.C. 0079. The GQuuuuuuX was equipped with the Omega Psycommu. The Omega Psycommu allows the pilot to control the Mobile Suit with thought alone, but it requires a strong Newtype. When the Omega Psycommu activates, the red restraints that double as the head V-fin antenna release and lift up to the forehead, revealing the twin green eyes of the GQuuuuuuX. The interface for brainwave control appears in the cockpit, and the mobile suit switched to a psycommu-controlled drive mode, similar to a pair of hands for the pilot to grab. The GQuuuuuuX has two Beam Sabers stored on the back of it's waist, a Beam Rifle, and a Heat Hawk stolen from a Zaku. The GQuuuuuuX is also equipped with a shield that could be equipped with an I-Field Generator, able to stop and disperse beams that hits the shield. It is also equipped with a Core Fighter mechanism that functioned as a backpack, which can fly independently if separated. the GQuuuuuuX's Beam Sabers emit green blades and have ring shaped guards.

The gMS-α "Red Gundam" was the RX-78-02 Earth Federation Mobile Suit stolen by Char Aznable and modified by the Principality of Zeon. It is red and black, has a v-fin, and two purple eyes. The backpack and cockpit can eject to form a Core Fighter, a small jet carrying the Learning Computer. It's modifications included the addition of the Alpha Psycommu and Bits from a cancelled Mobile Armor that would've been known as the Elmeth. The Learning Computer is an essential part of Operation V, recording data and used for further Mobile Suit development. The Alpha Psycommu translates a Newtype's thoughts into commands for the computer, necessary to utilize the Bits. After the Zeknova in UC 0079, Char and the Red Gundam went missing, but now it's mysteriously reappeared, now piloted by Shuji Ito. The Red Gundam has a Beam Rifle, Beam Sabers holstered on the backpack, Vulcan Guns in the head, the Hyper Hammer, and a pair of Bits resting on the shoulder's hard points.

Bits are a type of remote weapon equipped with a rocket thruster, verniers and its propellants, a power generator, a single beam gun, and a receptor designed to work with the Psycommu system. Their systems allow the bits to operate, attack and move independently of its carrier for an extended period of time, allowing attacks from multiple angles at once. The Hyper Hammer flail-type weapon with a long chain and anchor-shaped grip attached to an iron ball with thrusters inside to increase its speed and power.

The gMS-01 "Gelgoog" is a green and grey Zeon Mobile Suit that was developed from Zeon's stolen Gundam. It has three blue eyes under its blue visor. It uses two Beam Rifles that are usually stored on the back skirt, and a Beam Saber that is holstered on the back of its waist. Shiiko Sugai's Gelgoog is in white and red Federation colours, had the joints magnetically coated to increase responsiveness, and has a tiny Grappling hook hidden in the hand for her signature "Stigma attacks". Due to how small and hidden it is, the tether or the hook are almost never noticed.

The Kira-Kira is a phenomenon experienced only by Newtypes. The people experiencing it see themselves surrounded by sparkles of various colours with a focal shining point, along with hearing a continuous melodic "La-La" sound, frequently being called La-La Song by those who can hear but not see the Kira-Kira. The phenomenon is induced by Zeknova, and the multi-coloured light seen within it is actually energy emitted from the interactions of Minovsky particles moving from "the other side". Within the Kira-Kira, Newtypes' cognitive abilities reach their peak. It's only achievable from Zeknova is because within the center of the Kira-Kira is a person from a different universe, like Shuji.

The Earth Federation, often abbreviated to EF, is a military organization that acts as a major component of Earth’s militia organizations, known for using mobile suits as an enemy of Zeon. Having lost the war, they mostly remain on Earth now.

Kaneban Co. Ltd. is a junk shop in Izuma colony. The company is led by Annqi, its female president. In addition to junk shop business such as buying and selling parts, they also dabble in illegal businesses such as Clan Battle. The person in charge of the actual business is Nabu, Annqi's right-hand man, and the mechanic is Kaine, who graduated from a technical high school. Jezzi is their pilot in Clan Battle, but his short temper is a flaw. The name they use to participate in Clan Battle is "Pomeranians", named after the breed of Jezzi's pet dog.

Clan Battles, despite its officially illegal nature, it is actually managed by the Side 6 government in secret, and has various major corporations or even government actors (e.g. Earth Federation) participate in the Clan-Bat through shell companies, fronts, and clans, for monetary gains, technological development, and/or political intrigue. While the Izuma colony is strictly against Clan Battles and the military police come to bring them in after the battle ends, they do not actually crack down on the clans. The Izuma colony is located in Side 6.

Clan Battles are 2-on-2 battles between "clans" using MAV teams, with a time limit of approximately 5 minutes. They are live streamed for gambling and entertainment. Victory Condition: destroy the opponent machine's head by any means (either by just destroying the head, or destroying enemy's suit) Battle Stage: public area, pre-arranged; as such there can be various spaceships and Mobile Workers in the area. Minovsky particles will be dispersed in advance on the designated battle stage to hide it; however, as soon as the livestream starts, MPs will tend to rush in to disperse the fight. They are almost always in outer space outside of the colony. The governments Military Police uses blue Police Zaku's with the standard Machine Gun and Heat Hawk.

Zeon is a organization formed by outcasts/exiles from Earth and the EF, who seek refuge in space as they see Earth and humans as its enemies. They are also called “Feddies” as an insult from Zeon members. Having won the war, the Principality of Zeon gained independence.

Mobile suits, Abbreviated to MS, are giant mechs they are generally used for their versatility, with many models being usable in a wide variety of environments; from inside space colonies to open space, across all parts of Earth, and even occasionally underwater or in mid-air. They are often used for combat purposes.

Mobile Armors (MA) are similar to mobile suits in technology and operation, but vary tremendously in design. Mobile armors are almost always significantly larger than mobile suits, and non-humanoid in appearance as well. Due to their larger size, they frequently equip more powerful energy sources than other vehicles of the same era, giving them the ability to mount more energy-intensive equipment such as large directed-energy weapons or powerful defensive systems. Their large size also makes them capable of using equipment that is too bulky to fit into mobile suits.
