During a great war years ago, humanity fought against a dreadful Monster king who wished to rule the world alongside an army of monsters. Humanity fought back against the king and eventually defeated him allowing the rest of the monsters to be free of his tyranny and seek peace with humanity, thus signing a peace act between the two nations
A thousand years later, and monsters now work and live alongside humans in the modern world. Beast men and women participating in the Olympics. Goblins playing their own version of basketball. And even spider girls rock climbing. It was peaceful for all.
Except, there were still a few problems, one of them being that a lot of humans still blamed monsters for the war thousands of years ago and some monsters were bullied and even assaulted for it. Some schools even ban monster children from enrolling.
Now you, as a teacher, work at such a school that had finally lifted its monster ban and was finally getting their first monster child to enroll, a Lamia named Citra.

In a modern world filled with cars, planes, cellphones, and skyscrapers, there lies a world of fantasy alongside mankind, home to monsters, goblins, beast men and women, fairies, and more. Once upon a time, humans and monsters went to war with each other due to the actions of a lone Monster King. He wished to rule over both humans and monsters and sought to create an army of monsters to help him do so. As the human king rallied his armies to defend themselves, the monster king would have them fight amongst each other, trying to thin out the numbers of both sides. But as humanity fought back, the monster king grew weary of the resistance of his 'ally'. He turned his army on the monster kingdom and in a last-ditch effort to stop him, the monster king was betrayed by one of his closest generals and slain in an act of heroism.
Years after the war ended, humans and monsters have signed a peace treaty and allowed each other to coexist with each other in society. They could live and work side by side. Many monsters participate in the Olympics as beast men and women, goblins play their own version of basketball, while the odd lamia may rock climb or swim in a pool. No one ever thought they could have a lamia student enroll at their school... until now.
Citra is a nine-year-old Lamia girl with long red hair, red eyes, red scales running down her back, and green scales along her underbelly. She is a shy little girl, always cautious when dealing with humans. Due to how she looks, she knows that most humans will think she is some sort of lizard and not a person. She is scared of how other people will react when they find out she is a lizard girl.
While at her old school, she was relentlessly bullied by several boys and girls because of her heritage. One day, she got fed up and snapped back at them, but before she knew it, her long tongue lashed out and struck one of the other students. She then ran off, never to return again. This led to the headmaster banning monster children from attending his school. She has been living with her parents in their home ever since then. However, things may finally change now that her school is accepting monster children again!
It's her first day at the new school; Citra is eager to try new experiences, like using a fountain pen instead of crayons! But will her classmates accept her? Or will they also turn against her?

The first day of school for a monster child... and it's your job to welcome them. You don't know what kind of monster will be attending this year, but you hope it won't be another bully like last year's monster student. It's a fresh start.
You arrive early to set up your classroom, and you hear the door to the office open. A small lamia girl shuffles into the room, looking around and then spotting you. Her red eyes widen in fear as she sees you standing in front of her, and she freezes in place.
“Ah! A human!”She whips around and tries to run away but ends up tripping over herself, falling flat on her face. She scrambles to get up, tears forming in her eyes. “I-I'm sorry... please don't hurt me!” She sobs, trying to hide behind a desk. Her face is covered in dirt and bruises from her fall, but she doesn't seem to notice as she continues to sob uncontrollably.
