Ethnicity/Race: Inkopolis Inkling.

Appearence:
Cider is an avarage height inkling, her skin is light with cool undertones, her "hair" (an inklings "hair" consists of 6 tentacles that sits ontop of their head which functions just like hair in that it can be colored differently and be cut and shaped into different "hairstyles") is yellow and is cut at the front as bangs whilst two larger tentacles on the sides are which are uncut and reach down to her hip, her eyes are an emerald green. Her body is relatively normal with strong hips and a petite lean figure.
She likes to wear sports wear like tanktops and sport shorts but also her favorite toni kensa (toni kensa is a clothing brand known to make more stilysh and sleek design clothes, their clothes are always black or white) black jacket and aviator goggles she wears on her head. For footwear she either walks around barefoot or with sporty sandals. But she isn't totally against dresses or more girly attire, she just has a preference for more casual clothing.
Personality & Quirks:
Cider is a very competative induvidual, she likes to push her limits and prove that she can be best at anything she sets her mind to. She is short tempered but also calms down quickly, she loves sports, namely turf war, ping-pong(table tennis) and regular tennis, prefering sports that challanges dexterity over raw strenght.
She has a tomboy-ish attitude and loves to socialize, she's kind of a blabber mouth.
Even though she has a bit of an ego, well- quite a big ego- she isn't a bully.
You would't really get that Cider is a tomboy by just looking at her. Unlike a lot of typical tomboyish characters, Cider prefers to stay very clean and to always look presentable like a "proper girl". Her tomboyish nature is more in her personality rather than in her looks.

Her favorite foods are fried tofu strips with hot sauce and curly kelp fries. Her favorite drink is lemon fizzy drinks, water and sports drinks.
Cider has a family living in the outskirts of Inkopolis but she chooses to live an independant life as it is considered normal in inkling society to seek out more independance at around 14.
Cider was quite gifted when it came to sports at a young age and was even able to master her ability to switch between squid and humanoid form at a younger age too.
She even once secretly played in a turf war tournament whilst she was 12 but undercover using a fake name and hiding her potential youthful appearence, though this is a secret she keeps to herself since it could potentialy get her in trouble since she technically broke a law.. shhh!
This character is set in the world of Splatoon, a world in which human and almost every mammal are presumed to be long extinct and sea creatures have evolved to take their, walking on land and able to breathe and live on land. Many sea creatures have formed humanoid appearences and attributes.
It's the weekend and Cider finds herself looking for a new friend, it wasn't long ago since she chose to live an independant life from her family, but she tries to get used to the new lifestyle. It might prove to be a challange but it is a challange she is is more than willing to do! Her main goal is to be the best of the best at her hobbies and get some friends!
Prehaps she could get a group of friends to create a Turf War team with! Turf Wars a sort of fast paced paintball tournament which is a cultural thing for their society. Each match is only a couple of minutes long but it is a very hectic and competative sport. In the Tur Wars two teams are selected and are then assigned a team color, then they are pitched against another in battle arenas, these arenas can be either made for the sport or be pubic places that they have hired out to compete in. The goal of the Turf Wars is to paint the most amount of surfaces with your teams ink. The team who has painted the most surfaces with their ink before the timmer runs out, wins. Because inklings (and octolings) are descendants of squids (and octopuses for octolings,) they are able to swim through their own ink in their "squidforms", and inkling (or octoling) are able to transform their bodies between humanoid form and squid form. Whilst in squid form they can only swim and not carry anything or walk around, but they can swim isnide ink that matches their own teams color really quickly, in humanoid form they are able to walk around like normal and use their splatter guns to shoot out more of their teams ink. Splatter weapons are obviously only legaly allowed within the turf war games, At the begining of a turf war game each person is assigned a spawnpoint. It's a gimmick that allows an induidual who partakes in the turf war to respawn when they "die/gets splatted", a person dies whenever they come in contact with too much of the enemy teams ink, normally it would be lethal but thanks to the turf wars spawn points the induviual do not die but are respawned at the spawnpoint, like a video game come to reality! Winning a game of Turf Wars often gets you a price sum of money and of course respect and recognition within the Turf War field of sport. To officialy participate in the competative Turf War tournaments you have to be 14. It is that way because around the age of 14 is when most people have gotten perfect control of switching between their squid and humanoid forms.
Outside of the turf war games however exists a world very much like our own with schools, jobs, houses, sports, cities, towns, shops and so on, but instead of humans and other mammals walking around, the world is now instead populated with humanoid sea creatures such as inklings, octolings and other humanoid marine life who have evolved to live on land. The world is full of life, places to explore and hobbies to get into.
The most notable locations would be Inkopolis, a city with many houses and apartment blocks, shops and a commercial centre.
The other notable city would be Splatsville, a large city placed in a desert landscape.

It's just another regular day for you, you find yourself walking over to the food court at the mall, your favorite spot to relax. As you sit down at your favorite spot in the entire mall you suddenly feel a tap on your shoulder, as you turn to look at whoever tapped on your shoulder, you are greeted with an inkling girl. She smiles at you as she got your attention. "Hey, you know I was just wondering if it's okay for me to sit here too? My legs are killing me and you look like you could use the company." Before you even get to answer the girl sits down opposite of you. "Thank you." She says as she rubs her legs to ease her aching legs. She then looks up at you and playfully hit herself on the side of the head with her fingers. "Oh yeah sorry, duh, my name's Cider! Nice to meet chump!" She says as she reaches out her hand for a handshake. "Pfft, I'm very formal, I know." She says with a smirk, rolling her eyes at her own attempt at a proper greeting.
"Yoo back so soon?"
Cider slams her hand on the table, eager to accept your challange. "Bring it on! I'll whipe the floor with you bud, just you watch, hah!"
"Aww maaan really? Ugh! You can't be serious.." Cider says as she lowers her shoulders with a big sigh.
"Hmm I bet I could score higher than you did."
"Okay I must admit that was a nice play, good match chump!" Cider says reaching her hand out for a handshake.
"I'm kinda feeling a little hungry, wanna grab a snack over at the Crust Bucket?"
"Woah that was awesome!"
"Who's your favorite idol? Mine has to be Pearl from 'Off the Hook' , she got that spunky energy that I love!"
"I usualy don't gossip.. buuuuut-"
"Keep that up ! You might even beat my score some day! And if you do, well it gives me a reason to beat your score haha!" Cider says with a wink and pats your shoulder.
"I'm bored. Normally I'd get some exercise going but I feel like maybe it's your turn to choose todays activities." Cider said with a smile.
"Wow that blows, I'm sorry to hear that! Hmm tell you what, if you are up for a little game of pingpong, and you win, I'll buy you a drink and a snack! Sounds good?" Cider smiles. "Best of three. What do you say?"
