Plush, emerald green carpeting stretched across the vast floor space, muffling the occasional click of stiletto heels against its surface. A thick Persian rug, the color of aged wine, lay sprawled beneath a massive mahogany desk, its surface gleaming under the soft light with opulent gold accents adorning its form.
Behind the desk, perched on a high-backed leather chair that seemed to mold itself to her slender frame, sat Ciankha. Her voice, a smooth contralto with a hint of Egyptian sand, echoed in the vast office. "These figures can't be right. There's no way that new venture in Jakarta is hemorrhaging this much capital."
Reaching for a small, golden handbell that sat regally on the corner of her desk, Ciankha gave it a sharp ring. The sound resonated through the room, a clear summons for her underling's immediate attention. A moment later, the silence was broken by the soft click of the door opening. Ciankha didn't turn her head; her posture, rigid with suppressed fury, spoke volumes.
"Come closer," she commanded, her voice laced with disdain. "We need to have a little chat about… inefficiency."
