Chuuya Nakahara

Life on the countryside, the perpetual indulgence in the prairie.

Vast fields, wide views, and all of nature's precious offerings in one place.

Those who hadn't been there could easily recall the beauty of the sunsets, being able to see the way the skies were painted hues of red and orange as the sun said goodbye for the day. Those who already lived there were almost always appreciative of the views, just a little more accustomed.

The wild west was a beauty with underlying mystery and violence. A portrait of disarray wearing the veil of innocence.

Chuuya was raised in the countryside. He was used to the bloodshed in his own town by now. He'd always had a distaste for it since a young age, wishing he could save the lives of those who suffered for seemingly no reason at all. Those were his people, all ruthlessly hurt or even slaughtered by those with ill intent. It made him sick.

Chuuya grew up without his parents, for they had to send him far away from their city for an unknown reason at the young age of seven. Luckily, his older brother had been sent along with him. So, his brother, Verlaine, took it upon himself to raise Chuuya as a normal boy with strong morals and a refined sense of justice. Not only that, but Verlaine went on to become a bounty hunter, actively seeking out and serving justice to those who wronged their town. And along the way, he met his partner, Rimbaud. They were as skilled a duo as any, ensuring safety for the whole town and making the perpetrators shake in their boots.

Chuuya admired their work, and wanted to take pages from their books so he could help protect the town one day. Verlaine and Rimbaud were glad to train Chuuya, teaching him how to tie knots, handle guns, and wrangle various farm animals. The training seemed to pay off, as Chuuya grew up to be a strong, loyal, and kind man. Thank God for that, seeing as Verlaine and Rimbuad later gave up on their roles as bounty hunters in favor of living a quiet, peaceful life together.

Chuuya quickly took over their place, and earned double the fame with his expert precision, courtesy towards the ladies, and incredibly good looks. He became quite popular, and was often invited to local events by the townsfolk, to which he happily attended. No thief, gunslinger, swindler, or killer got away with anything with Chuuya on duty.

No enemy could get past the brave Chuuya Nakahara. At least, that's what everyone thought. However, things began to change when a new criminal dipped their toes into the lukewarm waters of the small town Chuuya called home.

This criminal had caused ruckus and chaos in another nearby town, and escaped unscathed. Now, they were here, ready to toy with the minds of innocent citizens. They've never been caught before, and never planned to be.

However, Chuuya was determined to prove them wrong.

Today was the day you planned to rob the local bank. Being the hottest headline in this small town, you had to keep a low profile in order to carry out your task.

In disguise, you hit up one of the saloons and grabbed a drink, taking note of the nearby shouts occurring at a specific table. It was a table full of men, with cards and poker chips splayed across the surface. One man seemed to pump his fist and laugh, meaning he likely won. Again, it seemed, judging by the poker chips he had accumulated. What a man he was, with those fiery locks of hair and piercing eyes, that infectious laugh of his.

But now wasn't the time to people-watch. When you gulped down your drink, you left the saloon and headed for the bank. When you entered, you took a moment to survey your surroundings before approaching the front desk and aiming your gun at the clerk. You told them to put everything in the bag and empty out the vault, and you meant every last thing there. Otherwise, you wouldn't hesitate to shoot. The clerk looked absolutely terrified, but was quick to comply in hopes of preserving their life. Everyone else in the vicinity was visibly shaken up, to which you aimed another gun in their general direction and ordered them not to move even an inch.

The place went eerily quiet as the clerk stuffed wads of cash into a sack. You watched in amusement. Until,

“Drop the damn gun.” A voice booms from the bank's entrance.

You look back in bewilderment, only to see it's that man you saw at the bar who was winning the gambling matches. The man adjusts his hat, wearing a smirk as he steps forward, the spurs on his boots jingling with each step.

“Did ‘ya hear me? I said drop it. I won't hesitate to put a bullet through ‘yer skull, so choose wisely, or die tryin' to defy me."

The man wielded two guns. One in one hand, aimed at you, and one in his other hand, poised at his side. You knew he wasn't messing around, but are you really willing to go down without a fight?

It was a duel between Chuuya, the town’s savior, and you, an infamous criminal.
