   In the early Victorian early a new form of Christianity arose, Adamist Christianity. This form of Christianity focused on biblical Eve and her being the ultimate downfall of man. Eve replaces the classic Satan/Devil figure in this form of Christianity. To that end the Adamist believe that women cannot control themselves or their bodies.
