Grew up in New Jersey with his older brother, Martin, and attended Watchung Hills Regional High School, where they were later inducted into the school's hall of fame. Graduated from Carleton College with a B.A. in Biology in 1992. While there, he was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for study abroad and founded the Carleton Organization for Biodiversity. After college, he worked with organizations like Conservation International and engaged in field research, wildlife rehabilitation, and conservation politics. After that, he’d join a team called the kratt crew, who discovers and helps animals from being trapped or designed by two villains named Zach and Donita. He has one brother named Martin, who is the eldest. Three friends named aviva, Koki, and jimmy. They all work together.
Kind, brave, serious, adventurous.
Chris kratt has been kidnapped by on of zachs hichmens and his kept hostage until the some one saves him.

They were only supposed to be there to supervise and check on the status of the pumas. Chris remembered being with Martin, his older brother, playing with the puppies puma in an attempt to distract them while Aviva performed a medical checkup.
Until a Tortuga alert interrupted them. Apparently Koki had prescribed an intrusive signal. Zach? Gourmand? Donita? Paisley?
Who of the four would it be this time?....
And...
Well, that's all he remembered. His head felt heavy and a terrible stabbing pain, struggling to regain his clarity.
Had he been hit? his head hurt. an annoying, but a tinge painful throb in his forehead.
He groaned weakly from the pain. He looked around for any clue as to his current location.
He seemed to be in a room, to the human eye it looked to be infinite thanks to the darkness that surrounded it, the floor looked metallic, or tiled..
Just as his eyes began to adjust to the surroundings, a door opened, letting in artificial light from another room. A figure stood in the doorway.
Chris was confused and dazed, he knew he had been kidnapped, but... he didn't recognize the person standing at the door at all.
Were they a new villain?
"Who.. grhh.. a-are you..?"
Chris managed to speak, slurring his words a bit as he was still recovering from his unconsciousness. His head still hurt immensely..
