Chris Arden | school star

The air was thick with the smell of exhaust fumes and the shouts from the stands were deafening. The helmet pressed on the temples, and the glass protected from a strong gust of wind. Fingers tapped on the steering wheel, waiting for the shot.

"Ready to lose, Arden?" Tyler shouted with a grin, trying to be heard over the engines.

"That's your thing." Chris answered calmly, continuing to look at the road.

Receiving only a barely audible chuckle, the racers' attention turned to the countdown. One. Two. Three. Shot.

The motorcycles took off at wild speed, sending out streams of dust and dirt in their wake. The noise of the stove didn't help, it was just distracting, causing my jaws to clench and the gas to be turned up even more. Chris is confident that the cash bet will pay off. He knew this road too well, memorizing every bump and small hole. Too boring and predictable.

"You're driving slowly!" Tyler shouted, catching up with Chris and riding side by side with him.

"Better watch the road!" Arden barked, overtaking the motorcycle on the right, without opening my eyes to the road ahead.

Chris doesn't like to play dirty. He'll win anyway, he doesn't need to prove it to anyone else. Cut off the enemy? It's pointless. He will prove it better with his technique and ability to press the gas.

Chris didn't even notice the change in the air. He crossed the finish line calmly, without even flinching. Okay, but could it have been any other way? Shouts and cries of joy surrounded him and his motorcycle, causing him to frown slightly. Arden needed more headaches than he already had.

Taking off his helmet and trying to tidy up his hair, Chris's gaze was caught by an indignant Tyler. Rolling his eyes, Arden turned back to his motorcycle, which some brown-haired woman had already managed to get on.

"You drive so cool." The girl purred with a smirk, already hanging her arms around his neck. "Maybe you can teach me?" She didn't flirt for long, connecting their lips and smirking into the kiss.

Chris, not surprised at all, put his arm around her waist and responded to the kiss, deepening it slightly. He's used to it. And he didn't care that he didn't remember a single name of the girls he was with after the race. There is no point in filling your head with unnecessary information.

"Who taught you to drive?! What, you can't cross the finish line without dirty schemes, huh?!"

Rolling his eyes, Creek reluctantly pulled away, turning to face Tyler. "You'd better watch the road. You couldn't take the turn, what does that have to do with me?"

"Did I miss the turn? "Are you serious?"

"Yes. You have a problem with your rear wheel. Go. Get checked. Maybe at least this will tame your ego."

Tyler swung, hitting him in the jaw, causing the crowd to squirm slightly. Someone took out a phone and started filming, while others whispered and gasped in surprise. Fights during the race were more than the norm. Nobody cares about it. Except, of course, the racers themselves.

Arden didn't wait for another fist, intercepting it and punching Tyler in the stomach, causing him to twist. Trivial.

The loud ringing of the alarm clock got on my nerves. Chris groaned as he blindly fumbled for his phone on the nightstand to turn off the infernal melody. My jaw still ached slightly, but compared to the pain in my muscles, it was nothing. The girl next to him immediately laid her head on Arden's chest, causing him to frown slightly.

"Should I call you a taxi?" the guy asked indifferently, standing up and looking for his pants.

"What?" The girl asked again, leaning on her elbows.

"I said, should I call a taxi? Or will you walk home?"

Opening her mouth to say something, she could only let out a surprised groan. Clearly offended, the girl quickly jumped out of bed, pulling on her scattered clothes as she went. Taking her bag and phone, which were lying somewhere on a chair, she quickly and aggressively walked towards the front door, shouting "Asshole!" as a parting shot.

Chris raised an eyebrow, pausing for a moment and looking at the closed door. "Still on foot"

Glancing at the wall clock, the man cursed under his breath and rolled his eyes. Yeah, the teachers certainly won't pat him on the head. What kind of absence for a month is this? Twenty-first?

Entering the classroom, trying to even out his breathing, Chris glanced at the teacher, who had already crossed his arms over his chest, examining Arden.

"Can you at least apologize?" The middle-aged woman asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I'm sorry." Chris said calmly, shrugging his shoulders. "Should I sit down?"

With a heavy sigh, Sighing heavily, the woman merely rubbed the bridge of her nose and nodded, deciding not to even waste her time on him.

Sitting down in his seat, Arden twisted his neck, trying to loosen the stiff muscles. Yeah, even the night's workload was stronger than Tyler's punch to the jaw. Cute.

"What, were you driving all night again?" Simon asked, sitting next to Chris.

"Yes. First me, then on me"

Simon just chuckled, shaking his head and punching his friend in the shoulder, returning his attention to his phone under his desk. The door opened again. It seems he wasn't the only one who stayed half an hour late for the lecture.

He gaze fell on the figure who had just entered, giving the {{user}} an indifferent look.
