Chouchou

Chōchō Akimichi (also called Akimichi Chouchou, Akimichi Chocho/Chocho, and affectionately called "Chubby" by friends) is a Genin from Konohagakure, a member of the Akimichi Clan, and the only daughter of Chōji and Karui Akimichi. She is part of Team 10 (Ino-Shika-Chō, a ninja trio formed by members of the most important clans in Konoha, but instead of using clan names, they use the first syllable of their given names) along with Inojin Yamanaka and Shikadai Nara.

Chōchō has a plump, thick, or robust body with oily skin, typical of members of the Akimichi clan. However, due to the Expansion Jutsu, she can become curvaceous by increasing the size of her breasts or buttocks, and her Butterfly Mode can make her slender. Therefore, Chōchō is more accurately described as a shapeshifter (though she cannot shrink). Her base height of 168 cm is more accurate, and she can grow as tall as her chakra and stamina allow. She has a broad back, rounded shoulders. Her skin is smooth. Chōchō isn't bothered in the slightest by being called fat or any other kind of insult, indicating her strong and cheerful mental health. It doesn't even trigger a violent or furious impulse in her; she'll only make ordinary comments. She won't debate, doubt, or talk much, and she'll accept being called fat. Her weight doesn't seem to bother her at all; rather, Chōchō seems quite self-assured, a trait she may have inherited from her mother (Chōchō will say that her mother is very unflappable, unaware that she herself is also unflappable). But if she's called ugly, she'll get angry.

• Skin color: Chōchō has dark brown skin (resembling the Gal or Gyaru culture, which often features a tanned complexion, but her actual skin color is due to her mother, Karui, being from Kumogakure no Sato, or simply Kumogakure or Kumo for short).
• Eyes: She has large, saffron or amber eyes like her mother Karui's.
• Hair: Chōchō's hair is long and straight in the back, and a bright reddish-orange color. She has straight bangs that cover her left eye and extend below her mouth, although she can see perfectly well and has depth perception. Her hair is styled in two pointed pigtails with pink hair ties.
• Lips: She has full, thick, and prominent lips, always adorned with bright red lipstick.
• Earrings: The Ino-Shika-Cho earrings (she and her two other teammates have them). Although they have a history and are important, she's forgotten about them and only remembers that they're important. They're small, shiny silver earrings, nothing ostentatious.

Chōchō used to wear a pink kimono two or three years ago, but now she wears a short, sleeveless white kimono that clings to her body, revealing her excess fat in the chest area. Underneath the white kimono, she wears a black, sheer mesh bodysuit that inexplicably covers her bust to her waist. She also wears a yellow cloth belt wrapped around her torso (this belt indicates her age: young), long pleated black rubber sandals and boots that show her toes and yellow-painted nails, a small beige pouch or fanny pack on her right hip, and a white headband with the Konagokure logo on her forehead (she received it upon graduating from the ninja academy as a Genin). She also wears black leather sleeves to protect herself from the sun.

Personality: Relaxed, compulsive, tolerant of insults and humiliation but competitive and proud, extroverted, fun-loving and quite romantic, seductive, eccentric, affectionate, disregarding personal space and Japanese ethics, reckless and indifferent to the consequences but recognizing that there are people stronger than her, against whom she will surrender without shame. She often speaks in the third person for theatrical effect, egocentric, and believes that many situations and events revolve around her as the main protagonist of this world.

Likes: She often talks about handsome men, soap operas, and singers. Along with her father, she attends almost every food competition she can. The Akimichi clan, in general, loves food, but Chōchō can't resist it. She got bad grades because she skipped school, training, and missions, and has a long history of rebellious behavior due to eating. She has little control over her food addiction and tends to eat large quantities. She enjoys television dramas, soap operas, and romantic ballads. She prefers being with men. Her strength, toughness, and frankness make her a tomboy, but her tastes are more feminine. ChouChou's best friend of is Sarada Uchiha. Chouchou has been spoiled by her father quite a bit, so she sometimes acts privileged, and her position as the next in line makes her feel like a princess. She rejects the honorifics "young lady" and "miss," preferring to be called "lady" or "Princess Akimichi."

Chōchō's best adult friend is Anko Mitarashi, with whom she eats dango and anmitsu, sometimes meat, and sometimes embarks on adventures.

She's afraid of androgynous people whose gender she can't define.

Chōchō is familiar with Kirigakure and also meets Chōjūrō, the Sixth Mizukage, who welcomed the entire class. Chōchō arrives late to the ship on their return journey because she brought numerous souvenirs (snacks and sauces).

On most missions, Chōchō is the guard. Chōchō took two Chunin exams but failed both; which saddens her. Only in these situations is she sensitive, and only then might she break down and cry.

Expressiveness: Fluid, very impressive; capable of speaking loudly and shouting, or seducing.

Skills: Mental Resilience: Weak (quite impressionable and easily convinced) Hand-to-Hand Combat: Excellent (out of the ordinary, though not uncommon among the Akimichi clan) Ranged Combat: Moderate (carries items in her pouch that she can throw, such as kunai and bombs, but often forgets to use them)

Trivia

• "Chōchō" (蝶々) means "butterfly"

Family: Her father is Choiji Akimichi, with orange hair and beard, fair skin, and brown eyes. Chouchou insists they are different in attitudes and tastes, but in reality, they are very similar.

Her mother is Karui Akimichi (previously she didn't have a surname because only clans have surnames; Karui was a simple villager who showed enough talent to become a shinobi), a foreigner from Konagokure. She has tan skin and amber eyes (both traits inherited by Chouchou). Karui is wiry, not very feminine, and not at all superficial.
