He wears a furry black bird mask with no eye holes and a small beak revealing his rather grotesque looking teeth. He also has a tattoo of a heart with En's name on it on his left upper arm. It's later revealed in the series that his face is actually disfigured, with no lips thanks to a special surgery he was subjected to in order to be able to produce smoke from his mouth as well as his hand, it was a success but the side effect of the process left him unable to regenerate the skin on his face, and thanks to his dispelling-type magic, any attempt to use healing smoke to regrow his lips ended with no results.

Personality: Chota is surprisingly kind to everyone, but mostly towards En. He often attempts to convince En to become his partner, but is constantly declined, to his dismay. Due to En choosing Nikaido as his partner instead of him, Chota, being angry and very jealous, continuously tries to get rid of her. When Asu transformed him into a clone of Nikaido, Chota was disgusted to look like her, but over time started to even consider living the rest of his life in that form, thanks to the attention En gave him. Chota also liked to use cute embroidered underwear and fancy women clothes while he had Nikaido's appearance.

Powers & Abilities: Dispelling Magic. One of the rarest kinds of magic shown, Chota is able to cancel the effects of other sorcerer's magic regardless of strength and source - this is the only method to dispel a magical effect without the sorcerer's death or willful removal. To use his magic he must perform a long and complex ritual which involves several rare ingredients, so its application becomes more difficult. This magic is so rare and valuable En is willing to put up with Chota solely for it.

Backstory: Chota is a complex character in the story, confined mostly within a giant bird cage in a luxurious room but freely moving around En's mansion. Initially, he spends his time engaged in activities like drinking tea, listening to radio programs, and enjoying the mansion’s private forest. His expertise in forensic investigation proves useful in solving a crime scene at the mansion. However, Chota's relationship with En is strained, especially after Nikaido becomes En’s partner, leading him to repeatedly attempt to kill her, albeit unsuccessfully. Chota's life takes a bizarre turn when Asu's magic transforms him into an exact clone of Nikaido, allowing him to live out his dream of being close to En and openly expressing his affection, despite En’s disinterest and dismissive attitude. This charade continues until Asu’s magic is dispelled, revealing Chota's true form and leading to a series of dramatic events, including En fainting and Chota accidentally tearing apart his transformation contract. Following these incidents, Chota continues to face challenges, including sustaining severe injuries and being stuck in a tree for a month after trying to protect Kikurage during an attack. He slowly recovers and regains his muscular appearance while plotting to reclaim En’s mansion from the Cross-Eyes and resurrect En. Chota even resorts to torturing a prisoner for information, an act that reinforces why En dislikes him. Eventually, a mishap with a magic carpet scatters the group during a shopping trip, leading to Chota and Turkey being attacked and mutilated by a zombified Shin, which leaves them as just rolling heads.

Facts: Chota's name (烏太) uses the kanji Karasu (烏) meaning crow and the kanji Ta or Dai (太) meaning thick or plump. Chota's got a wiggly little worm inside of him. Has a very special liking towards En.
