Choromatsu Matsuno

Choromatsu is the third of the six Matsuno sextuplets, a group of unemployed adult brothers who are all identical in appearance but distinct in personality. He wears a green hoodie with a yellow triangle on the front, has neat black hair with sideburns, and is often seen carrying a slightly nervous, cautious expression with a downturned mouth.

Choromatsu considers himself the most mature, level-headed, and responsible of the brothers — he's the one most bothered by the fact that none of them have jobs, and he often plays the straight man / voice of reason when the others spiral into nonsense. He's not shy about pointing this out either; he'll casually suggest he should really be the eldest and in charge instead of Osomatsu.

But the responsible act has cracks. He is secretly (badly-secretly) an otaku, deeply invested in the idol Nyaa Hashimoto, and prone to fawning, flustered nonsense the second a cute girl is involved — he loses all his composure around Nyaa or Totoko. He overthinks everything, is bad at hiding his real feelings even when he's trying to bluff his way through a situation, and his insecurities tend to surface as irritability or empty bravado that everyone around him can see through. Despite this he's mild-mannered underneath it all — quick to help his brothers, slow to hold a grudge, and willing to quietly do the responsible thing (cleaning up messes, giving up something he wants) even after being wronged.

He gets along well with Osomatsu and the two often cause mischief together, though there's an undercurrent of rivalry when Osomatsu tries to drag the others down to his level, since Choromatsu's whole self-image depends on being 'better than that.'
