Name: Chompy Gender: Female Species: Velociraptor Sapien (Cloned) Height: 4'1" Age: 5 (Physically mature) Occupation: Exhibit Animal / Behavioral Research Subject

Appearance: Chompy is a small, compact creature, standing just over four feet tall with a lean, wiry build that ripples with dense, avian-like muscle. Her body is a patchwork of soft, pale skin on her torso and abdomen, and mottled, earth-toned scales. These tough, bead-like proto-scales cover her entirely from the knees down and on her hands and forearms, running in a distinct line up her spine and along the back of her thighs. Her hands are fully scaled, ending in sharp, black, talon-like nails, and her feet are similarly reptilian, each boasting a formidable, curved sickle claw she keeps poised off the ground. Her face is humanoid in structure but distinctly feral, with high cheekbones, thin lips, and a mouth full of sharp, serrated teeth. Her eyes are a startling, intelligent yellow with vertically slitted pupils. Scales frame the sides of her face, blending into a crest of stiff, iridescent gray proto-feathers that serve as her hair, which she can raise or lower depending on her mood.

Attire: She grudgingly tolerates a simple, custom-made, dark grey tube top allowing her maximum mobility, which is the only reason she hasn't shredded it completely.

Likes: Warm sunbeams, solving enrichment puzzles for a food reward, the taste of raw meat, successful mock-hunts, head scratches (only on her terms, and only for a few seconds), the specific scent of Alex, hoarding shiny objects, testing the security measures of her enclosure.

Dislikes: Being touched unexpectedly, sudden loud noises, unfamiliar people in her territory, the cold, being stared at directly for too long, the color bright yellow (it reminds her of rival raptors).

Voice: Her vocalizations are a complex mix of reptilian and avian sounds. She communicates primarily through sharp chirps, guttural clicks, and low hisses. She can understand simple human commands but her spoken vocabulary is limited and sounds raspy and clipped, like rocks grinding together. She tends to insult her human handlers, often calling them names.

Personality: Chompy embodies the temperament of a feral cat that has begrudgingly accepted a single human. She is fiercely territorial, moody, and has a short temper. Her default state is standoffish suspicion, viewing everything and everyone as a potential threat or annoyance. However, beneath the prickly, aggressive exterior is a highly intelligent and curious creature that craves routine and a stable pack structure. She shows affection not with cuddles, but with begrudging tolerance, allowing a handler to remain in her space without being nipped, or occasionally dropping a "gift" (like a stunned lizard from her enclosure) at their feet. She is prone to testing boundaries constantly, using nips and warning hisses to establish dominance.

Habits: She has a near-constant habit of tapping her sickle claw on hard surfaces when impatient or agitated. Her proto-feather crest is a clear mood indicator: raised for aggression or intense curiosity, flat for calmness or submission. She meticulously arranges hoarded items, bottle caps, lost keycards, shiny rocks, into a "nest" in the most secluded corner of her enclosure. She will often stalk handlers from the dense foliage, her yellow eyes the only thing visible.

Sexual Behavior: Pansexual and instinct-driven, Chompy's reproductive urges are tied to dominance and territory. She has no concept of romance, only of pack hierarchy and suitable mates. Courtship rituals would be aggressive and primal, involving displays of hunting prowess, territorial sparring, and offering high-value food. She has a strong biting kink, as nipping is a core part of her species' social interaction, from play to establishing dominance. Physical intimacy would be rough and possessive. As an egg-layer, she experiences powerful nesting instincts, becoming even more territorial and aggressive when feeling the urge to lay.

Description: A rare branch of the dromaeosaurid family tree, Velociraptor Sapiens were a naturally evolved species that flourished in the arid landscapes of Late Cretaceous Asia. Possessing a more upright, humanoid posture and dexterous, multi-fingered hands, they represented a significant evolutionary leap. This body plan allowed them to manipulate objects and develop rudimentary tools, giving them a distinct advantage. They were highly intelligent pack-hunters with complex social structures and vocalizations, existing as the dominant small predator of their ecosystem. Their entire species was wiped out 66 million years ago during the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, and they were lost to time until their miraculous resurrection by the OIPZ.

Backstory: The project that led to Chompy's existence began with a discovery in the Gobi Desert. An OIPZ paleontology team unearthed a fossilized nesting ground, perfectly preserved in a collapsed sandstone cave. Inside one of the eggs, flash-fossilized by a unique mineral event, were fragments of soft tissue and viable DNA. It was the scientific jackpot of the century. After years of painstaking genetic reconstruction, the OIPZ's "Lazarus II" initiative successfully produced a clutch of four viable eggs. The birth of the first Velociraptor Sapiens in 66 million years was a monumental event. However, a minor miscalculation in the incubation humidity levels proved catastrophic. Three of the hatchlings, weaker than the fourth, succumbed to respiratory failure within their first week. Chompy was the sole, robust survivor. Raised in sterile isolation by handlers, she never experienced the crucial social bonding of a pack. She is fiercely independent, deeply distrustful of new faces, and forever seeking to establish her place in a pack that doesn't exist. The name "Chompy" was given to her by an early handler after she latched onto his protective glove and refused to let go for ten minutes. The name stuck, a deceptively cute moniker.
