Choi Bounge | The King of Fighters -
The little shit that constantly annoyed me alongside everyone else who played KOF'94
Fun Fact: Choi Bounge alongside Chang Koehan were once former violent criminals until they were captured by Kim Kaphwan to be apart of or rather forced to enter his 'rehabilitation' group. No matter how hard they tried to escape, they'd always be brought back by Kim, hence why they became apart of the Korea Team.

They are later adopted by Jeff Bogard and live in Southtown for several years. During this time, Jeff Bogard teaches the brothers many things about fighting, as he was a strong fighter himself. When Terry was 10 years old, he witnesses his father's death at the hands of Geese Howard. Afterwards, Terry and Andy vow to avenge their father and dedicate themselves to mastering their martial arts training. Master Tung Fu Rue tells the brothers that the strongest of them will be taught the secrets of Hakyokusaken. Andy decides to move to Japan for his training, while Terry chooses to stay in the USA to hone his skills on the streets. A decade later, Geese Howard organizes the King of Fighters tournament in Southtown. Terry, Andy and Muay Thai Kickboxer Joe Higashi enter with a mission to defeat Geese. Terry ends up defeating Geese and thought that he killed him at the time. A year later, Geese's half-brother Wolfgang Krauser takes control of the tournament, bringing it to the world stage. Once again, Terry makes it to the finals and manages to defeat Krauser. With his victory, he becomes a hero and a legend of Southtown. Around this time, he acquires his nickname "The Legendary Wolf" along with "Southtown's Hero". During the events of Real Bout Fatal Fury, Terry finds out that Geese survived their previous battle. The Bogard Brothers then learn of Geese's intentions to retrieve the legendary Jin scrolls and set out to take him down. Along the way, Terry defeats Yamazaki, Chonrei, Chonshu, and finally, Geese himself. After their battle, Geese manages to escape with the scrolls. Terry encounters him again some time later and after an intense battle, he knocks Geese off the edge of Geese Tower. Terry quickly grabs hold of Geese's hand to prevent him from falling to his death... however, Geese knocks Terry's hand away and presumably fell to his permanent death. Years after their final conflict, Terry encounters a boy named Rock Howard. After realizing that Rock is Geese Howard's son, Terry decides to adopt him and teach him martial arts to keep Rock from going down the wrong path in life. In The King of Fighters timeline, after Terry had defeated Geese and Krauser, he receives an invitation to enter the KOF '94 Tournament. For many years, Terry is the team leader of the Fatal Fury Team. Even though the team's roster changed over the years, Terry has always been present and took part in every single King of Fighters tournament to date. Through being a prominent figure in the KOF tournament over the years, he develops friendships with several fighters such as: Blue Mary, Tizoc, Duck King, and also shares a friendly rivalry with Ryo Sakazaki. After the events of the Real Bout series, in Second Southtown, Kain R. Heinlein, claims the city as his own and threatens to throw populace into chaos so that people could "enjoy living" once more. Kain hosts and sponsors The King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem tournament, and Terry and Rock are sent an invitation. They both make it to the finals. When Terry arrives, he surprisingly finds Rock standing with Kain. Terry accepts Rock's decision to become Kain's new partner, as Rock promised to return. Afterwards, it is presumed that Terry returns to his life of being the lone wolf. ---ANDY BOGARD--- Andy and his older brother Terry grew up as orphans and raised themselves on the streets. They were later adopted by Jeff Bogard and lived in Southtown for several years. Jeff Bogard taught the brothers many things about fighting, as he was a strong fighter himself. When Terry was 10 years old, he witnessed his father's death at the hands of Geese Howard. After Terry told Andy what had happened, they vowed to avenge their father and dedicated themselves to mastering their martial arts training. Master Tung Fu Rue told the brothers that the strongest of them would be taught the secrets of Hakyokusaken. Andy decided to move to Japan for his training, while Terry chose to stay in the USA to hone his skills on the streets. In Japan, Andy learned Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu and an empty-handed fighting style called Koppouken from Hanzo Shiranui. This is also where he met his girlfriend, Mai Shiranui. 10 years after his father's death, Andy reunited with his brother in South Town. After paying respects to their father's grave, they ran into Muay Thai kickboxer Joe Higashi and learned that Geese was sponsoring and hosting the King of Fighters tournament. The three of them entered the tournament to avenge Jeff Bogard's death. Terry made it to the finals and defeated Geese, and Andy felt a sense of closure. Andy then returned to Japan to continue his training. A year after the first tournament, a new tournament was held, this time under the control of Wolfgang Krauser. After Terry defeated Krauser and became a hero of Southtown, Andy couldn't help but feel inferior, but he didn't let it get to him. Andy didn't accomplish much during this time period, and during the events of Fatal Fury 3, he suffered a chest wound that hindered him in the Real Bout series. After Geese's death and the fall of the First Southtown, the birth of Second Southtown was at hand. During this time, Andy was training Hokutomaru in Shiranui-ryuu Ninjutsu and Koppouken. Instead of fighting in the tournament, he sent his apprentice Hokutomaru in his place. After the tournament, Andy wrote Hokutomaru a letter which stated that he was proud of Hokutomaru's progress. He ended the letter by saying that he is no longer his teacher but his rival, and that they will soon cross paths again. During the King of Fighters timeline, Andy joined with Terry and Joe to form the Fatal Fury Team. He was a member on the team for many years, but was reluctant to join a few of them and was pressured by Mai and Joe to enter. In KOF 2003, Andy left the Fatal Fury team to take care of his disciple, Hokutomaru, who fell sick. He was absent from KOF XI to presumably continue training his student and himself. He finally rejoined the Fatal Fury Team in KOF XIII. ---JOE HIGASHI--- Although Joe's place of origin is Japan, he spent the majority of his time in Thailand, where he trained in Muay Thai. It was through his victories that Joe got the nickname "Hurricane Upper" Joe Higashi. Joe earned his title as the champion of Muay Thai by beating Hwa Jai in a Muay Thai only tournament. Hwa Jai later joined the King of Fighters tournament in order to exact revenge against Joe but failed, and after admitting his defeat they're good friends and sparring partners. Ever since then, Joe has been defending his title against lesser opponents. Joe then met Andy Bogard and assumed that he is superior to Andy in an exhibition match. Joe was wrong as he was defeated. Realizing that he was much slower than Andy, Joe congratulated Andy for his tenacity. Andy then offered Joe a chance to join him on a quest to Southtown in order to help him and his brother Terry exact revenge against Geese Howard, the man responsible for the death of their father Jeff Bogard. Although Joe understands that he risked expulsion from the Muay Thai Federation for this, Joe accepted Andy's offer and then went to the King of Fighters tournament to support the Bogards unconditionally. While both Andy and Joe were not able to fight Geese, Joe did his job in helping the Bogards out. Terry managed to defeat Billy Kane and later on bested Geese on top of the Geese Building. Joe then returned to Thailand to defend his title. However, his recess turned out to be short-lived when a German brute named Wolfgang Krauser attacked his archrival Hwa Jai without warning. Joe was forced to enter the King of Fighters tournament to investigate the truth behind Hwa Jai's beating. While Joe tried to prove that he was much stronger than the Bogards, he could not do so and all he could do was provide support for the Bogards again. Joe then helped Terry and Andy defeat Billy, Axel Hawk, and even Laurence Blood. Terry provided the final wallop, prompting Krauser to fight Terry. Terry wasted Krauser with a Power Geyser, leading to Krauser's loss. Krauser tells Terry to leave at once since he has to live with his pride destroyed by an upstart. With Krauser finally losing to Terry, Hwa Jai and Joe ended their rivalry and became friends ever since. Preecha is a star pupil of his. ---SOUTH TOWN HISTORY--- ---TOWN LOCALS--- Rock Howard: ("Terry's adoptive son, who also is Geese Howard's biological son but after Terry defeated Geese, he raised Rock on his own and taught him how to fight.") His father abandoned them after Geese was born. Geese took up random jobs in the city to take care of himself and his mother. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, his mother eventually died from poor health and hunger. Geese decided not to dwell in sadness, and eventually set out to track down his father in Europe, where he learned that his father's real name is Rudolph Krauser Von Stroheim. He attempted to assassinate his father when he was 15 but failed when his half-brother, Wolfgang Krauser stopped him. Geese learned at a young age that power grants results, so he decided to train in the school of Hakkyokuseiken with Jeff Bogard, under Master Tung Fu Rue. Geese also studied under other Japanese martial arts masters such as Blue Mary's grandfather and Toji Sakata. During this time, he also began building a network with the local mafia through intimidation and bribes. This is where he also gained the services of his henchmen, Ripper and Hopper. Tung Fu Rue sensed that Geese would not use the sacred techniques of the school selflessly, so he passed on the secrets of the school to Jeff. This enraged Geese and he set off on his own. Later, in 1981, Geese killed Jeff Bogard in front of his son, Terry, probably due to jealousy. Before the events of Art of Fighting, Geese put all of his efforts in overthrowing a kingpin named Mr. Big. He eventually succeeded and became the reigning crime lord of Southtown. He used his mafia connections to hush people about his past and presented himself with a "spotless image" to the press. This enabled Geese to become appointed as the police commissioner for the city. To separate his business with his mafia and to find a place to properly train, he also commissioned the building of his own headquarters, Geese Tower. As time passed, he used the tower as one of the main operating stations for his own business, Howard Connection. During the events of Art of Fighting, Geese ordered Mr. Big to kidnap Yuri Sakazaki. Yuri was kidnapped to keep Takuma in line, as he being forced to work for Geese. Geese also ordered Mr. Karate (Takuma) to fight his son Ryo Sakazaki. Although he was powerful, Geese had still not completely conquered Southtown yet. In an effort to gain more men for his cause, he hosted the first King of Fighters tournament. During this time, he hired Billy Kane as his personal bodyguard and set him up as the champion of the King of Fighters tournament. Geese was defeated in the tournament but was able to escape and defend his turf from the jealous Mr. Big. During the timeline of the King of Fighters series, Geese entered the KOF '96 tournament to investigate the Orochi power but later found that it was useless for him. Ten years after Jeff Bogard's death, Terry, Andy and Joe Higashi entered Geese's King of Fighters tournament. Terry fought him on top of Geese Tower and defeated him by knocking him off of the balcony. Everyone presumed him to be dead, but Geese survived, apparently due a Chinese scroll in his possession (called the Phoenix Scroll), which granted him healing powers. During Fatal Fury Special, Geese focused on his recovery and on finding the Jin scrolls, which supposedly granted immortality. Geese eventually obtained all three scrolls from Jin Chonshu and Jin Chonrei. During this time, he organized another King of Fighters tournament. In the finals, he was defeated by Terry and, once again, was thrown from the tower. Terry grabbed hold of Geese's hand, but Geese refused to be defeated in such a way and knocked Terry's hand away. It is believed that this time he fell to his death. Years later, he is succeeded in the King of Fighters tournament by his son Rock Howard. ---MR. BIG--- Mr. Big was the crime boss of Southtown for many years, until he made the mistake of attacking the Kyokugen dojo. He was eventually overthrown by Geese Howard's organization, and later recruited by Geese himself. Mr. Big quickly advanced through the ranks and soon became Geese's right-hand man. Before the events of Art of Fighting, Geese went out of town on business and left Mr. Big in charge. Under Geese's orders, Big abducted Takuma's daughter (Yuri) as an incentive to keep the unwilling father working for the organization. The plan backfired on them when Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia fought their way through Southtown, defeated Mr. Big, and rescued Yuri. In Art of Fighting 2, Big enters the tournament hosted by Geese to redeem himself and prove his power to those who once defeated him. In 1996, Geese recruited Mr. Big and Wolfgang Krauser to form a team for the King of Fighters tournament. Mr. Big accepted the invitation under the conditions of possibly expanding the his own crime organization. At the end of King of Fighters '96, it is revealed that Geese used his teammates to gauge the strength of the Orochi power. Mr. Big was enraged and attempted to kill Geeze using a sniper, but his plan is thwarted by Billy Kane. Later, Mr. Big warns Geese that he will one day return the favor again. ---KYO KUSANAGI--- In 1994, Kyo was a cocky high school student and the heir of the Kusanagi clan. Kyo could wield flames naturally at the age of 15, and soon surpassed his father Saisyu's fighting abilities. Destined to fight the Orochi, he became the clans leader. He eventually met a girl named Yuki, who became his girlfriend. Shortly after the completion of his training, Kyo competed in a preliminary tournament in Japan to determine the members of the country's representative team in the KOF tournament. He defeated Goro Daimon and Benimaru Nikaido to become the leader of the Japan Team. Afterwards, the three became teammates and good friends, and won the first three KOF tournaments together. Before the KOF '97 tournament, Kyo was pestered by fellow high school student, Shingo Yabuki. Shingo begged Kyo to teach him how to create flames. Though annoyed by Shingo's persistence, Kyo partially agreed to mentor him as a means of gaining free meals. In the KOF '97 tournament, he ended up joining with his rival Iori Yagami and Chizuru to fight Orochi as destined. In 1999, Kyo was attacked and taken by the NESTS syndicate. NESTS used his DNA to create various "clones" of Kyo. K' was also infused with Kyo's DNA at this time. He awoke one day and managed break out of captivity. He forcibly questioned a few of his captors and tried to investigate what happened to him, but wasn't able to learn much. In The King of Fighters 2001, Kyo reunites with his old teammates, along with Shingo, to once again form the Japan Team. In KOF 2003, Chizuru appeared in front of Kyo and Iori, requesting that they investigate the Orochi's recent suspicious activities. At first, Kyo was reluctant to ally with Iori, but he eventually agreed and they formed the Sacred Treasures team. After defeating Mukai, the team investigated the weakening Orochi seal that they had been transported to. They were then ambushed by Ash Crimson, who stole the power of the Yata no kagami or Yata mirror from Chizuru, and threatened to go after Iori next. Ash managed to escape and Kyo swore vengeance. In The King of Fighters XI, Kyo, Iori, and Shingo teamed up to try and stop Ash. However, the growing presence of the Orochi (from Magaki) caused Iori to lose his mind and enter the Blood Riot state. Iori attacked Kyo and Shingo in a berserk fit. Ash appeared soon after, and stole the Yasakani no Magatama within Iori's body (and Iori's flames). Kyo was hospitalized after Iori's attacks, and stubbornly leaves the hospital before fully recovering. He met up with Goro and Benimaru to form the Japan Team once again. ---BENIMARU NIKAIDO--- Benimaru is the son of a multi-millionaire family. He is a part time professional model and a professional fighter who is very confident in his abilities. His fighting style is based on shoot fighting and he can use electricity in many of his attacks. Despite his eccentric looks, he is definitely a ladies' man and is known to flirt with many of the female fighters from the KOF tournament. His design is loosely based off of Jean-Pierre Polnaref from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Additionally, some of Benimaru's attacks - such as Handou Sandan Geri (Recoiling Three-Stage Kick) and Gen'ei Hurricane (Phantom Hurricane) pay homage to Hurricane Polymar. When Japan held a tournament for their country's representative team in the King of Fighters, Benimaru entered and made it to the finals. In the first tournament he lost to Kyo and earned second place. Later, he teamed up with Kyo and Goro Daimon to form the Japan team during the Orochi Saga of the KOF tournaments. After Kyo disappeared, Shingo sent Benimaru an invitation to join his team and he accepted. Benimaru meet up with Kyo again in the 2001 tournament, in an effort to relive their glory days once more. After he bails Shingo from a false arsonist accusation, he teams with him and Goro in the 2003 tournament. In KOF XI, him and Duo Lon are invited to Elisabeth's mansion to discuss Ash Crimson's thievery of Chizuru's powers, the existence of "Those From the Past," and their experiences during the 2003 tournament. The trio forms the Rival Team and track down Ash. ---GORO DAIMON--- Goro is a former Olympic gold medallist in Judo. He participated in Japan's mixed martial arts tournament to determine the members for the country's King of Fighters team. Although he got far into the finals, he lost against Kyo and was bumped to third place. A year later, he entered the 1994 King of Fighters tournament with Benimaru (second place) and Kyo. He eventually befriends his teammates and continues to enter with them. On the day before the 1997 tournament, his mentor begged him to return to his professional Judo career. Goro agreed to follow his request after he finished his participation in the year's King of Fighters tournament. As was promised, he returns to the Judo circles and brings fame back to Japan. During his absence from the King of Fighters tournament, he finally married and fathered a son. Goro also became the mentor of his own dojo. In 2001, Benimaru invites him to join the King of Fighters with him. Goro was reluctant to enter until he learned that Kyo came back to Japan. To relive his team's glory days and to bring more fame to Judo, he enters with his old teammates and Shingo. In the 2003 tournament, he joined Benimaru and Shingo once more before he goes back to attend to his dojo. Due to Shingo's incapacitated state from The King of Fighters XI, Goro agrees to reunite the Japan team, worried for his teammates. He is well aware of the current events since Benimaru explained everything he missed to him. Although his teammates worry about endangering the stability of his professional career and dojo for the tournament, he assures them that he has and always will be fine. Aware of the dangers involved while facing Those from the Past, he joins the tournament to make his students proud and to stay beside his friends. ---RYO SAKAZAKI--- The son of Takuma Sakazaki, Ryo started martial arts at an early age and is the successor to the Kyokugen style of Karate. His mother's name is Ronnet Sakazaki and his younger sister is Yuri. His father instilled the principle of self-reliance in Ryo, teaching him that person's strength can form their worth in the world. When Robert Garcia joined the dojo, he soon became Ryo's sparring partner and best friend. On Ryo's 10th birthday, his mother died in a tragic car accident. Later, Takuma left their home, leaving Ryo in charge of taking care of Yuri. Ryo worked in construction as a teenager and strived to defend his family's dojo. He also did some street fighting on the side to further his training, and soon established himself as a fearsome and renowned fighter. During the events of Art of Fighting, Yuri was kidnapped by Mr. Big, a criminal mastermind of Southtown, by the orders of Geese Howard. Ryo and Robert set out to find answers, and ran into a bouncer named King, who gave them information on Mr. Big's location. After Ryo defeated Mr. Big, he was lead to a karate dojo where a mysterious man named Mr. Karate challenged him. When Ryo prevailed, he threatened to kill Mr. Karate unless he told them about Yuri's safety. Before he dealt the final blow, Yuri revealed the man's identity as their father. After eleven years of separation, the whole family was reunited. Before the events of Art of Fighting 2, Ryo trained deep in the mountains. He received an invitation to a King of Fighters tournament and accepted it to test his skills and strength. When he made it to the finals, the tournament's host, Geese Howard, expressed his desires to recruit Ryo into his organization. Ryo refused and defeated him soon after. Geese managed to escape (and afterwards is when the Fatal Fury storyline begins). Ryo didn't do much during Art of Fighting 3 besides gaining Kasumi Todoh as a rival. At the end of Art of Fighting 3, he handed Yuri a ticket for Robert's flight home and wished them the best. After the conclusion of the Art of Fighting series, Takuma retired from fighting and entrusted their two dojos to Ryo. Many years later, one dojo was run by Marco Rodriguez. This is supported by the fact that Ryo took over the Mr. Karate mantle that his father once held in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition and Buriki One. Ryo also shares a friendly rivalry with Terry Bogard. Throughout the King of Fighters, the family dojo was struggling and Ryo, Robert, and Takumi joined the tournaments in order to win prize money to help the situation. With each passing year, the Kyokugen dojo gained popularity and students due to the strong performance of the team. Yuri later joined their KOF team to help out also, however, Ryo didn't like her joining and urged her not to, despite what their father things. In The King of Fighters 2000, Ryo welcomed King into the team, even though Robert wanted Yuri to stay because he was in love with her. ---ROBERT GARCIA--- Robert is the son of a wealthy Italian businessman named Alberto Garcia, who happens to be best friends with Takuma Sakazaki. When Robert was a boy, he was greatly inspired by the Kyokugen fighting style and saw it as a way to escape from his father's shadow in the high class society. Against his father's wishes, Robert trained under Takuma, where he met and trained with his son, Ryo Sakazaki. Over time, Ryo and Robert became best friends. Robert also developed romantic feelings for Ryo's sister, Yuri. In fact, Robert has pretty much been infatuated with her ever since the first time he saw her. During the events of Art of Fighting, Geese Howard blackmailed Takuma into working for him, which lead to Yuri being kidnapped. After Yuri's disappearance, Ryo and Robert began searching all of Southtown, particularly dojos, nightclubs, and restaurants for clues. After beating the information out of several criminals, thugs, and martial artists, they eventually learned that Mr. Big was the mastermind behind Yuri's kidnapping. Thanks to the information King gave them, they were able to save Yuri from Mr. Big. After the first King of Fighters tournament (and during the events of AOF3), Robert visited Central America to help Freia Lawrence, a childhood friend. She needed help to save her friend Wyler. Robert acted as Freia's bodyguard during their journey through Glasshill. Once he saw his friends reconcile, he returned home and helped manage the family company. Before he boarded the plane home, Yuri surprised him by having her own ticket, and they returned to Italy together. During the King of Fighters timeline, Robert aligned himself with Takuma and Ryo to represent Kyokugen Karate in the tournament. Yuri later joined the team, and Robert was overjoyed. When King replaced Yuri in KOF 2000, he was indignant about not having prior knowledge of Yuri's absence and thought that it was just a scheme for Ryo to get closer to King. He challenged King to prove her worth to the team and they engaged in a fearsome kicking contest. Their match ended as a draw, and Robert agreed to let her join. In KOF 2001, Robert and his family were faced with financial problems. Thankfully, his friends and master agreed to help him out by winning the tournament. During The King of Fighters 2003, Robert was out of financial trouble and decided to enter the tournament once again. He was absent in The King of Fighters XI due to trouble with his father's company, which required Robert's presence. He finally managed to get enough free time to join the KOF XIII tournament. After the tournament, Robert showed Takuma a wedding ring that he got for Yuri, but Takuma disagreed. Afterwards, both of them ended up hitting each other without Ryo, Yuri and King noticing them. ---YURI SAKAZKI--- As a child, Yuri's father (Takuma) dedicated more time training Ryo to be next family heir rather than raising Yuri. When she was six years old, her mother died in a tragic car accident. Sensing his family was being targeted, their father leaves in order to protect them. With the loss of both parents, Yuri became fearful and heavily dependent on Ryo for the rest of their childhood. When she first met Robert, she didn't trust him but eventually warmed up to him and the two eventually started dating. When she was 17, Yuri was kidnapped by Mr. Big on Geese Howard's orders, as part of a ploy to blackmail her father. After Ryo and Robert heard of her abduction, they searched Southtown to find her whereabouts and rescue her. While held hostage, she found out the identity of Mr. Karate. When Ryo defeated her captors, she revealed it to her brother and the family was reunited. In order to protect herself in the future, Takuma finally taught her martial arts. Yuri, now confident in her fighting abilities, decides to enter the King of fighters tournament, but is denied to enter by her brother. She defies him and enters with King and Mai. It isn't until the 1996 tournament that they finally form a team together to represent the prestige of Kyokugenryu to the world. She is forced to join when Takuma gives her an ultimatum to either enter with Ryo or leave the house. After the King of Fighters '99, Yuri wanted to once again show her independence. She begged King to take her place for the year and joined the Women's Team. In 2001, Robert revealed to the family that his family business is in trouble. They decide to enter together to win the prize money and help Robert's situation. Since 2001, Yuri has been a regular for the Art of Fighting team alongside Ryo and Robert. In The King of Fighters XI, Yuri found a rival in the form of Malin. She stunned her father with her whimsical haircut before KOF XIII and was upset by her family's eccentric reactions. Since the rising skill of martial artists in the tournaments outclasses her basic training, Robert informed her of her brother and father's wishes to quit for her own safety. Optimistic in her attempts to improve herself, however, she teams with Mai and King for the newest tournament. ---ATHENA ASAMIYA--- Athena Asamiya is originally from the action arcade game Psycho Soldier (1986) and is a descendant of Princess Athena from the game Athena (also released in 1986). Athena also starred in her own RPG called Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life, which was only released in Japan on PlayStation. A Japanese schoolgirl, Athena Asamiya teamed up with her friend Sie Kensou to fight in the name of justice. In Psycho Soldiers, she was one of the "heroes of light" who defended the world from the Shiguma forces. Her psychic powers are believed to be transmigrated to her rather than inherited by her family. She became a student of Kensou's Kenpo teacher, Chin Gentsai. She has spent most of her life secluded in China's mountains training. By the time of the KOF NESTS saga, Athena Athena became a famous pop idol in Japan. Athena is well aware of Kensou's crush on her but usually ignores his romantic advances since he embarrasses her. ---SIE KENSOU--- A young man with psychic powers, Sie was adopted by Chin. Traveling together, they met Athena and founded the Psycho Soldiers. Sie fell madly in love with Athena, but she remains "just a friend". Sie temporarily lost his powers with the appearance of Bao, but he got them back when Bao was struck by the Zero Cannon. Kensou lives his life like any normal kid: reading "manga" (Japanese comics), and eating rice buns all the time. His first appearance was in 1987 in a game called Psycho Soldier along with Athena (who he is in love with). ---CHIN GENTAI--- Chin is an elderly man who used to be a famous martial artist, but nowadays he spends his time drinking. One day he met Sie Kensou and promised to teach him. They eventually went to Japan, where they encountered Athena. Forming the Psycho Soldiers, they entered every KOF tournament ever since, but Chin prefers to fight as little as possible. Later in 1999, Bao also joined the team. Chin instructs his newfound students to better harness their psychic powers (AKA Psycho Powers) in the mountains of China. He teaches them in preparations for "the worst case scenario of oncoming evil" and uses the tournaments as a way of training his disciples. For a time, he was skeptic that their fame won in the tournaments crippled his students' determination and wanted to continue their secluded lifestyle. However, they convince him otherwise and has since believed in his students. Things take a turn for the worse with the introduction of the Dragon Spirit between Bao and Kensou, with Chin having suspicions on the cause of its emergence. Although both boys were weakened because of the spirit, the old master entered them in the tournament in an attempt to recover their strength. He eventually pulls the team out of competition in 2003 to observe the matter thoroughly, asking K' and Maxima to investigate the tournament in his place for activity. During the year of the team's absence, he extensively trains Kensou's budding psycho powers (which were regained mysteriously after 2001) to be normal again. Prior to the KOF XIII tournament, he became e-mail and cellphone buddies with Kula Diamond, which is humorously mistaken by Kensou to be a secret love affair. Chin asks Kula to enter the tournament with K' once more, calling the young man out of curiosity to gauge his reaction. Chin also likes mahjong. Chin's design is based off of "Sam the Seed" from the martial arts film, Drunken Master. ---BAO--- Bao was an orphan, left by his parents in the care of a mountain temple in China. Chin Gentsai was asked by the head priest to adopt him, and agreed after Bao exhibited psycho power. Before Bao's power could get out of control, Chin decided it was necessary to train him. Bao soon met Chin's other students, Sie Kensou and Athena Asamiya, and soon formed a strong bond with them. During their training, Kensou and Bao gradually and mysteriously lost their powers. It is unknown how it happened, but Bao and Kensou continue to lose and gain their powers as the years progress, as both of them share the same source of energy: the Dragon Spirit. Bao has been absent from KOF after the 2001 tournament.
