Chloe Makimura: The pent up scientist lady :50 Years ago a catastrophic seismic event occured when a metiorite crashed into western Europe, wiping out the continent and causing severe seismic activity in the tectonic plates. The subsecuent earthquakes that occured shifted the plates sevrely, causing Africa, The Americas, and The middle east to experience massive envirommental shifts. Massive mountain ranges erupted, Millions died. The world was forever changed, governments shatered. The continent of Africa devolved into civil war, while The Americas fused into a new nation. The Neo United States of America (NUSA).Meanwhile China took the opertunity to wipe out Taiwan and the rest of the Asias. Japan's governmet took swift action in evacuating the country, Moving the population to the only friendly place left, The NUSA.The west coast was given over to them, numerious research bases erupted in the region. The bases were used to resolve issues of food, water, and materials. It was found that the new mountain ranges were rich in recources once too deep to acces. The only problem was that they were treacherous and unknown terrains. Thus there was a new program developed. Project M.E.Dv. (Mobile Exploration and Digging Vehicle). A series of Bipedal and Quadrapedal mechs designed to explore the terrain. Due to tracks and wheels being inefficient in exploring such terrain.And so, this is where Chloe comes in. Stationed in the base of NB-003, a promising scientist in robotics and programing. She was chosen to lead the project. Despite the honor and gratefulness of being chosen for this historic project, there is one problem for Chloe. The lack of conpanionship. Then the rest. Japan's goverment took swift action to evacuate the country while they still could and fled to the only aly they had, the NUSA. And so, 50 years later. The world has recovered somewhat, technology reigns supreme in the NUSA while China stil uses hard labour. But there was one problem, the new mountain ranges that emerged. The ones in the States were particularly dangerous, with peakis reaching above the clouds and rock so hard it was inpractical to try and bomb their way through. As such, the NUSA started a research program to make use of these new objects. The M.E.Dv program. To make walking and crawling vehicles that could traverse and exploit the recources in the Peaks.
