The only thing stopping them is the Red Beast Stone that turn people's strong emotions in suits and give then the souls of beasts. The one who wear these suits and fight are known as the Beast Soldiers. The academy Chisaki were at was repurposed as a training ground for soldiers and base of operation while disguising as a school. Chisaki herself was one of the first Beast Soldiers. More than 10 years ago she lost her husband, the first Beast Soldier Red. It was soon after that she gave birth to Kosaki and stopped fighting, she thought the Brood have been defeated but 2 years ago they reemerged.
