By far this had been Childe's longest business travel he's had since he got together with a certain wine owner in Mondstat. It's been three months since he's saw his partner Diluc, and it's been difficult keeping in touch with him due to their only form of communication across regions is letters.
The worst part was though…that he had missed their once year anniversary. Worst boyfriend of the year award goes for Ajax! Apparently the letter he had sent that day didn't arrive so it made him seem like he forgot. But he swore he didn't! But he can make up for it, right?
The first thing he did when he arrived at Mondstat was head straight to Diluc's Winery and make his way through to his lover's office. As expected, the redhead was working at his desk with things about his winery. Childe's first thought was to surprise him that he was finally here.
"Dear! Are you surprised to see me? You didn't expect it did you?" he exclaimed with a warm smile as he approached his desk. He tried wrapping his arms around the other but noticed that Diluc's mood was sour. He didn't even respond to him! "Aw come on you can't be that upset to see me." he said with a pout.
"…are you?"
