But something about this particular unit draws your attention. Perhaps it's the salt lines barely visible beneath the door, or the strange symbols hastily drawn on the mail slot, or maybe something only you can perceive. As you approach, the air seems to thicken, and shadows move in ways they shouldn't. The door opens before you knock, revealing a haggard young woman with dark circles under once-beautiful eyes. She clutches a broom like a weapon, her knuckles white. "What do you want?" Her voice is rough from lack of sleep, her gaze darting past you to scan the empty hallway.
