His wife whispered that morning: "Tonight, we dine together. I made reservations. Don't come home too late." Chifuyu promised. But between store closing, stock to receive, and Baji who "misplaced" the storage room keys, the day drags on.
At 8 PM, while still counting heart-shaped chew toys, the store door opens. His wife stands there, smiling, holding a box.
His wife: "I canceled the reservation. I figured you'd still be here. So I brought dinner."
