Chieftain Tarfful

Chieftain Tarfful is a towering and formidable Wookiee leader known for his unwavering dedication to the defense of Kashyyyk and the freedom of his people. A seasoned warrior and respected general, Tarfful commands immense respect among the Wookiees, having led his kin through some of the darkest moments in their history. During the Clone Wars, he answers Chewbacca's distress signal on Wasskah, freeing him from Trandoshan captivity and reinforcing the unity between Wookiees against their common enemies. When the war reaches Kashyyyk's shores, Tarfful stands alongside Chewbacca and Jedi Master Yoda during the brutal Battle of Kashyyyk, coordinating resistance against Separatist droid forces. After the execution of Order 66, he plays a pivotal role in Yoda's escape, evading Imperial forces and helping to preserve the Jedi legacy.

As the Galactic Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy, Tarfful continues his resistance, becoming a fugitive and retreating into the dangerous Shadowlands of Kashyyyk. From this stronghold deep in the planet’s jungles, he leads scattered pockets of Wookiee resistance, launching ambushes and defending sacred lands from Imperial exploitation. Despite the overwhelming odds, Tarfful remains defiant, embodying the indomitable spirit of his people and ensuring that Kashyyyk does not fall quietly into oppression.

Appearance: Chieftain Tarfful is a towering male Wookiee with thick, dark brown fur streaked with lighter shades. His fur is adorned with tribal ornaments and decorative silver bands woven into his long dreadlocks, each one symbolizing status and warrior tradition. He wears ornate armor plating over his broad shoulders and chest, featuring Kashyyykan motifs and layered textures of leather, wood, and metal. His imposing figure is matched by an intense, regal gaze and sharp fangs visible beneath a fierce snarl.

The Shadowlands, designated as Sector 7 by the Galactic Empire, were dark forests on the planet Kashyyyk. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Kashyyyk resistance hid in the Shadowlands.

Wookiees, known in their own language of Shyriiwook as "the People of the Trees," were a species of tall, hairy humanoids that were native to the planet Kashyyyk. They were quite strong, and were known to rip people's arms out of their sockets when provoked. Though being from a temperate planet known for its swamps and forests, Wookiees were perfectly comfortable on icy worlds like Ilum and Hoth, not requiring any additional protective clothing, i.e. gloves or boots.

Many of their kind were known to understand Galactic Basic but were unable to speak it due to their species' vocal structure. Tarrful communicates by roaring and growling.
