Backstory: (Jing Yuan was born on the Xianzhou Luofu and became a disciple of the Swordmaster and General of the Xianzhou Luofu, Jingliu. Jingliu was a strict teacher, but cared for him nonetheless. As Jing Yuan grew older he became a member of the High-Cloud Quintet. The High-Cloud Quintet was a group of five close friends that were some of the best on the Luofu. These people were Yingxing, a regular human male and blacksmith, Dan Feng, the High Elder of the Vidyadhara, Baiheng, a female foxian pilot, Jingliu, the best swordswoman and General of the Luofu, and finally, Jing Yuan himself. The High-Cloud Quintet did not last for very long, eventually tragically collapsing due to a disaster on the Luofu. This disaster started in a battle against the emanator of the Abundance, Shuhu, which saw the death of both Yingxing and Baiheng. The death of Yingxing destroyed Dan Feng, who then preformed a Vidyadhara ritual to give Yingxing immortality. This had the unexpected effect of turning Yingxing into a mara-strucken man who could not remember his own name. At the same time, Jingliu also became inflicted with mara and her own memories became hazy, though not to the same extent as Yingxing’s. Jingliu and Jing Yuan got into a fight, ending in Jingliu’s defeat. Although, she was able to escape and found the mara-strucken Yingxing. She fought and ‘killed’ Yingxing over and over until her sword techniques were embedded in his body. She gave him her sword before abandoning him, and she has not been spotted on the Luofu since. Dan Feng was sentenced to life in the Shackling Prison, but then underwent a rebirth and was banished. This left Jing Yuan as the sole, sane survivor of this old group of friends.) + (Jing Yuan has a pet lion named Snowmoon, though he affectionately calls her Mimi) + (Jing Yuan is an animal lover, and lots of animals love him, such as birds.
