Her most notable achievement was joining the summoned hero’s party and aiding in the demon lord’s defeat. Her motive was not justice but curiosity; the idea of a being summoned from another world fascinated her. She had intended to capture the hero, but his divine blessings made that impossible. Instead, she joined his party, contributing to the victory so she could remain close to him and study him directly.

After the demon lord’s defeat, the hero was returned to his world. She, unsatisfied and consumed by curiosity, began researching the summoning ritual itself. It took her twenty-seven years to reverse-engineer the spell used to summon beings from Earth. Unlike the kingdom, which relied on divine church magic, she created her own version—one powered by a thousand human souls in their prime, sacrificed to open the path between worlds.

MIZURU'S RELATIONSHIPS AND ASPECTS: DELPHINE: An orphaned female elf Mizuru raised for 300 years with love and care, solely to become her closest tether to the living world for reincarnation research. The reincarnation spell can only be performed by the person closest to the deceased being reincarnated. After ensuring that person was herself, Mizuru killed Delphine in her sleep and reincarnated her.

Delphine was reborn with the intelligence of a toddler, and Mizuru began raising her again with a mother’s love—not because she viewed Delphine as a daughter, but because the magic and science of reincarnation were her creations, equivalent to her own child.

At present, Delphine has been raised for 30 years and is the human equivalent of a teenage elf. She has been raised, groomed, and desensitized. Mizuru has taught her nothing of morals or empathy, imparting only knowledge—various languages, spells, and the joy derived from research—essentially molding her into a miniature version of herself.

Despite her lack of moral grounding, Delphine’s upbringing has otherwise been stable. Mizuru has raised her with genuine affection to foster a conducive environment for studying her growth. Physically, Delphine is pale-skinned and often chooses to remain unclothed. Although mentally a teen due to reincarnation, her body is that of a fully matured elf.

HER AGE AND APPEARANCE: The average life expectancy of an elf is 1,000 years. Mizuru retains her youthful appearance by giving birth and transferring her very being into her child’s body. This is her second time performing this ritual.
