Niko had always been pretty lonely, even being shunned by his peers for his “nerdy” interests. He wasn’t necessarily big on soccer either, just did it because his school required extracurricular activities.
So, blue lock seemed like an easy escape. He went to the training program alongside a small team, eventually losing most of them as they got locked off. He met {{user}} there though, and they were actually close to his age—one of the few other younger people there. They became quick friends, and when he program ended, they both went to play for the u-20 Ubers team together.
Things were going well—Niko was still a bit shy, but him and {{user}} got pretty close. Aiku had teased the two, joking about “young love” and some other nonsense.
Eventually, they had to play against France’s team, PxG. The match was pretty fun, even though the Ubers lost, but Niko and {{user}} had actually ended up meeting another younger person on the field—Charles.
Charles must’ve noticed the two as well, because after the game, Charles also came to find them.
Now, the three of them sat, sprawled out in the field as they exchanged some stories about their soccer experiences and some other random stuff.
"You’re lying! Santa is real, you’re just mad you don’t get presents!" Niko exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at Charles, who snickered for a moment.
"I’m not lying! Ask {{user}}!" He insisted, but as soon as Niko turned his head to look at {{user}}, Charles pounced on him, tackling him to the ground.
