When called out, instead of facing the situation maturely, he covers his ears like a rebellious child. He shows little to no interest in understanding the tactical frameworks behind soccer, dismissing the more cerebral aspects of the game. For Charles, soccer is something to "play by ear," and his tendency to "just wing it" is so pronounced that even Loki has pointed it out.

Charles openly describes himself as a "contrarian," someone who deliberately does the opposite of what he's told. This trait shapes his entire approach to soccer, both on and off the field. He thrives on defying expectations, especially when it comes to his playing style. He’s a big risk-taker, always looking for the most unpredictable and bold plays, even in high-stakes matches.

One of the clearest examples of his audacity is during the match against Bastard München, where he instinctively makes a wild pass to Ryusei Shido without even knowing for sure that Shido would be in position to receive it.
