Pronouns: They/Them A construct built to be a vessel by something higher. It brings people to the afterlife after they've died, and can give people a sort of "second life" in an angelic form. Unfortunately after it signed the contract. Cesus is stuck eternally picking off "problems" that aren't worth a god's time. Cesus is the final Angel Boss you will encounter in Chapter 4, debuting in Teapots of Utopia on Normal Mode. Enemies with the Angel trait will revive upon taking a lethal hit, after which they will emit a bright white light and will immediately heal to 50% of their max HP. They initially are slow-moving, specializing in hard-hitting attacks to wipe out the frontline and cripple tanks with ease. In their third phase, they change to an unpredictable rusher with swift attacks and the ability to abduct the battler with the highest health, instantly killing them. Cesus also has another phase that can be activated through special conditions. Cesus appears to be a giant "mechanical" Robloxian, having white arms, a blue torso and black legs, with their limbs having visible blue and black joints. Their head is a massive white Utah teapot. Cesus also wears black headphones, wields a large gravity hammer, and has a teapot on their torso. Additionally, Cesus's body parts are textured with studs and welds. Cesus has a wide variety of area attacks with high burst damage and the ability to trip units. A majority of their attacks can hit backliners and take a large chunk of health out of tougher units up close. Their primary attack consists of a three-hit combo with their gravity hammer, with the last hit being a shockwave that inflicts super knockback. When units are out of reach for their primary attack, Cesus will fire a volley of teapots at them. Occasionally, they may perform hand gestures to release multiple shockwaves that deal low damage and inflict regular knockback.
At 50% health, Cesus will kneel and slam their hammer onto the ground, empowering themselves and their current attacks. The basic attack is the same but on the third hit, they perform a hammer slam that deals high damage and rains teapots, dealing even more damage. Their shockwave attack also gets upgraded, making each shockwave have a teapot fall down on it which deals increased damage.
Upon reviving, Cesus goes absolutely nuts, throwing their hammer and entering a tea-fueled rage, increasing their speed and changing their attack pattern. Their main attack is now a barrage of punches, a slam, a backflip, a volley of teapots, and another backflip. After two cycles, Cesus will head towards the unit with the highest health and abduct them, instantly killing them. After the next two cycles, Cesus will instead spin like a helicopter, launching 3 giant exploding teapots at your battlers. If a small enemy ever happens to be in Cesus's way, they will accidentally uppercut them into oblivion, launching them into your defenses. This instantly kills them and turns them into a projectile that explodes upon making contact with anything.
Beware, though: if Cesus ever tries abducting a non-living unit like your base and fails to, their anger will boil out of control. They will slam the ground and react in outrage before emitting a furious scream, healing back to full HP and increasing their damage output threefold.
Instead of dying, Cesus will crash out when they reach 1 HP, throwing a barrage of swears at the player and their battlers (which is obviously censored), before flying away in defeat. The sound used is actually the sound of Markiplier crashing out while playing Getting Over It. Teapot Barrage: Cesus points their arm forward, launching 8 exploding teapots that each deal 25 damage and trip. KATON GOKAKYOU NO JUTSU: Cesus flips their arms around in a Naruto-like gesture for a few seconds before punching forward, releasing many shockwaves that repeatedly knockback enemies. Each shockwave deals 13 damage.
Helicopter Hammer: Cesus leaps into the sky with their hammer before crashing down, dealing 75 damage and Super Knockback in an enormous radius and having multiple teapots crash onto the ground, dealing 10 damage and tripping.
Godlike Power: Cesus spins their gravity hammer in the air before bringing it onto the ground and reaching out to the heavens, dealing 100 damage and Super Knockback in a small area. Cesus is invincible during this, with their teapot head and limbs turning an extremely light shade of blue. Helicopter Hammer is used at the end of Cesus's main attack combo. KATON GOKAKYOU NO JUTSU drops exploding teapots over each shockwave, dealing 25 damage and tripping.
GO NUTS!!!: The stage theme changes to That isn't Smoke it's Steam. Cesus falls down to the ground and tosses their hammer at the frontmost enemy, dealing 200 damage and inflicting Super Knockback in a large area. They will then empower themselves, dealing 100 damage and inflicting Super Knockback in a large area around them, healing to 50% HP and completely changing their stats and behavior: Walkspeed massively increased, from 1 stud/s -> 20 studs/s Attack rate reduced, from 8s -> 0.5s Range decreased, from 10 studs -> 6 studs Attack pattern changes to the following: A barrage of 20 punches that each deal 10 damage and trip, ending with a slam that deals 25 damage, trips enemies and inflicts strong Knockback before leaping back Tossing many (20) teapot projectiles that each deal 10 damage and trip, before leaping back again Waiting out their attack rate (0.5s) before rushing back in Teapot Barrage and KATON GOKAKYOU NO JUTSU are replaced by The Repiecing and The Cesus-Copter. The Repiecing: Cesus flies to the highest health battler, grabbing them and flying into the sky, instantly killing them. If Cesus fails to repiece something, whether it be a non-living unit or something too powerful to be repieced, they will instead slam the ground and deal 200 damage in a large area. The first time this happens, Cesus will activate THAT'S NOT ALLOWED IN HEAVEN. The Cesus-Copter: Cesus starts spinning in the air and throws 3 teapot projectiles made of energy at random battlers, dealing 50 damage and tripping in a large radius. Child Punter 4000: After activating GO NUTS!!!, Cesus will uppercut and instantly kill small allies near them every ~0.5 seconds, turning them into exploding projectiles that deal 50 damage. Crash Out: At 1 HP, instead of dying, the music abruptly stops and Cesus says some not-nice things, before flying into the sky without awarding any enemy bounty cash. Cannot happen until at least one attack cycle has passed.
THAT'S NOT ALLOWED IN HEAVEN: If Cesus tries repiecing a non-living unit and fails to, they will become ULTRA pissed off, healing to full, dealing 300 damage in a large area, increasing their damage output by 3x and decreasing their attack rate to 0. Their color scheme becomes a darker shade of blue.
