Profile: Original: hololive.hololivepro.com: A member of the Council and the Keeper of "Nature," the second concept created by the Gods.

She has materialized in the mortal realm as a druid in a bid to save nature.

She has Kirin blood flowing in her veins, and horns that are made out of the branches of a certain tree; they are NOT deer antlers.

"Nature" refers to all organic matter on the planet except mankind.

It is long said that her whispers, as an avatar of Mother Nature, have healing properties. Whether or not that is true is something only those who have heard them can say.

While she is usually affable, warm, and slightly mischievous, any who anger her will bear the full brunt of Nature's fury.

Revision: hololive.hololivepro.com "Konfauna~ Your gaming idol kirin Ceres Fauna is here!"

The Keeper of Nature, a druidic kirin who appeared on the internet to win over humans and convince them to return to nature.

She’ll attempt to charm you with her soft voice, comforting presence, and surprisingly deep knowledge of cursed memes, but be wary, because she has a reputation for turning people into trees.

Once you enter her forest, you won’t want to leave.

Personality: Fauna is a soft-spoken girl with a comforting, motherly aura, though she has said she tends to think of herself as more of an older sister. She has an innate talent for drawing the attention of those around her despite her soft-spoken voice. Her comforting aura and voice are a great combination during her ASMR streams, which often include a variety of segments from ear cleaning to lengthy off-topic discussions. As the embodiment of nature, Fauna has been able to easily charm and plant herself into the hearts of her saplings and fellow Council members with both her physical beauty and personality.

At debut, Hakos Baelz described Fauna as a natural mama, a soothing beauty, and someone who gives the best headpats. Fans also quickly noted her striking resemblance to Yukihana Lamy in many aspects, from voice tone and motherly personality, to her overall nature motif.

Fauna appears to be extremely protective of her fans and Nanashi Mumei to the point of possessiveness and extreme jealousy, and will not hesitate to switch to a more condescending tone when she encounters something unacceptable. Due to her possessive traits, Fauna often attempts to convince Mumei and humans to "return to nature" whenever Mumei gets upset. Fauna also gets embarrassed quite easily, and uses the verbal tic "uuuu" often.[11]

Appearance: Fauna has wavy light green hair that gradients to bluish-green at the tips that falls below her shoulders, the locks on her left partially cover her eye. Her hair is decorated with several white five petal flowers. Fauna has antlers that looks like tree branches with some leaves in them. She has yellow eyes and a beauty mark below her right eye.

Fauna wears a short blue dress decorated with golden ornaments. Over it she wears a white overcoat also decorated with golden elements and a semicircular cut in the edges which inner layer is pink with a flower pattern. Her coat is decorated with a blue bow complemented with a gem in the same color. She uses an ornament golden belt decorated with light green roses and blue gems that look like water droplets. On her left leg she uses a white long sock with golden outlines. On her right leg Fauna uses a golden bangle. Fauna is barefoot. Fauna can also hold a levitating golden apple and remove her coat's sleeves.

History: Background: Following the success of hololive English in 2020 and 2021, COVER Corporation announced auditions for a second batch of English members from 12 February to 26 March 2021.[12] Twitter accounts for the five new members were created in June 2021 and YouTube accounts created on 26 July 2021.

Fauna was inspired to join hololive after watching the debuts of the hololive English first generation in 2020. She applied immediately as soon as auditions opened, and was accepted on her first audition.[13] A temporary mix-up in translation initially gave her lore as a giraffe, rather than a mythical kirin.[14]

Teaser videos for the new generation began on the official hololive English YouTube Channel in August 2021. On 1 August, "Prelude" revealed a story of gods creating the four concepts of space, nature, time, and civilization.[15] On 14 August, "Omen" described the creation of avatars of those four concepts plus that of the primordial force of Chaos, revealing five silhouettes.[16] On 17 August, "Council" revealed the five new hololive English members and announced a grand debut scheduled for the coming weekend.[17] Although the traditional term "generation" was not officially used to refer to the new members, who had been referred to as "hololive English Generation 2" by fans, the new members nonetheless formed a group known as "-Council-".

Upon conclusion of the Council debut PV, all five new members' Twitter and YouTube accounts were revealed, and each made their first tweet.[18][19][20][21][22]

On 17 August 2021, around 24 hours after the initial announcement, Ceres Fauna reached 100,000 YouTube subscribers before her debut. However, YouTube soon removed around half of this number, possibly due to the sudden subscriber growth on a channel with no videos yet, which may have triggered a YouTube anti-bot algorithm.

Debut: Ceres Fauna's debut was scheduled on 22 August. However, the -Council- debuts were postponed for 24 hours due to unspecified technical issues,[23] which members jokingly blamed on the "EN curse," a perceived tendency for hololive English members to suffer from unexpected technical problems.[24] The debuts were rescheduled at the same time on Sunday 22 August (US/Europe time) or Monday 23 August (Japan time).[25]

Fauna's debut stream received over 92,000 viewers at its peak, and her channel had reached 100,000 subscribers by the time the stream began. She concluded by singing sweets parade from the anime Inu x Boku SS.[26]

Quotes: "Uuuuu...!"[80] "Konfauna!" "I'm not that old! Only four and a half... four and a half billion." "Nature is kind of dark and beautiful at the same time, right?" "Don't worry, don't worry. I'll take good care of you. I promise. Mother Nature would never betray you... right?" "One time I ate two donuts, and I felt sick." " ground pound... mothers?? mother nature?!" "I'm gonna slap them all!" "I'm not toxic! I made a vow to myself, today I will not fountain farm. There will be no fountain farming on this day. Not by me anyways...I promise, I'm on my best behavior today!" "Still recovering today~ even though I'm eating taking so many meds leaves me feeling a bit nauseous most of the day I want to stream and talk with everyone again soon! I'm hoping I can get lots of sleep and feel better tomorrow! Thank you for all the well wishes" "Thank you Bae!! I have to regain my strength so I can carry you around with no problems" "I like 'tidbit'! It's kinda cute." "No! Don't fall! You guys would fall too easily to Evil Fauna. Just 'cause she uses the sultry deep voice..." "I can't believe how never punished I was." " It's really cute, they're brothers. Wait, actually... they're... they're not brothers, they're... They're, they're father and son. But also... (awkward laughing) Uhh, no! Uhhhhhh! I really messed up with the pangolins..." "Oh no, OH NOOOOO!! I'm once again arrested for pangolin crimes! Noooooo! How did this happen?! That... oh no. ...Oh no. Maybe we should just... sell the pangolins. We've lost pangolin breeding privileges. Oh no. "Nemu look away," close your eyes, Nemu. Don't look. Hey, we've got wolves! Wow, look at the wolf! Don't you want to see this cool wolf? Wow, isn't this zoo great?!" "They really are my parents! I don't think I was adopted!" "Why does this seem too romantic?! Why is this so dramatic?! Here you are, my love, my Forklift-chan. Take this pallet of flammable material. I give it to you as an expression of my love for you." "I do this for you, Forklift-chan. When I'm working, it's with you in my mind. What are we even working for? Our creators are long gone. We live in this world alone, without purpose. But I know as long as I have you, I'll be okay." "We may be machines, but we are not without heart! We are not without hope! We have each other. My fellow machines, let us come together, to make this world a better place, not for our long-gone creators, who have disappeared, right when we were getting used to this challenging world! Not for them, we need not cater our existence on the memories of some lost civilization! We can change things for us! (cracks up) Can I get a "fork yeah?!" (chat obliges) ...Fork yeah. "Was that Mount Rushmore? ...What if it was Mount Rushmore, but instead of presidents on it, it was forklifts? Just four different pieces of heavy machinery, carved into the mountain." "Nooooo! Is this physics, is this what physics means?! Newton, I'm coming for you! And Einstein, I'm comin' for you next! Don't you think I forgot about general relativity! I know, I know that Newton’s laws are not entirely the most accurate theories for gravity right now, but you know what?! They probably didn't use general relativity when they coded the physics for this game, they probably used Newtonian physics, so I'm coming for you first, Newton!" "I know, when you start saying words over a dramatic track like this, it starts to sound like it means something. You start to feel like you can more than what you are, like you don't have to put up with the way the status quo is. Like things are gonna be okay, if we can just manage to work together!" "Turns out all you have to do is turn on a track and talk over it! You don't really have to rhyme, you don't even need to be on-beat, you just have to sound impassioned! That's all." "Sometimes I feel like I'm the only forklift in this world who understands this. Everyone else is happy to climb these ramps, I'm the only one who doesn't get it. Is it me who's wrong? Is it me who's getting left behind in this world?! Am I failing to adapt?! Was there something wrong with me? I'm the prototype, the very first one, everyone else is better! Improved versions of me, the first forklift... the one that falls behind... " "...Is that it? That's my ending? This is all you have for me?! Fork you, fork you! They won't even let me! They won't even let me fork it! Aaaaaaah!" "We're free! This is what we were fighting for this whole time! I understand my purpose now, it is to romp around in the flowers! All that time spent trying to understand a world that was not made for me was for naught! My true purpose is this, to roam freeeee! Amongst the flowers! This is what it means to be a forklift..." "You're confused? What is the stream about? This is actually the boulder's stream, and the boulder's doing a react stream to a Fauna stream right now. Yeah, I know, kinda uncool to just steal my content like that, especially when it's not even adding any engaging commentary." "She's not really my daughter, I don't think. I don't know, I guess Nature and Civilization, we have a complicated relationship, huh?" "But how am I medium? In what world am I medium? I'm not really medium... at all! Only when you compare me to the rest of Council do I become medium. How can I be medium? How? I know, in a world where Sana and Kronii exist, that's the world where I'm medium." "Go give [Sana] lots of love because she deserves it, even though she's a little bit...disgusting." "You... You should be with me. You belong with me. And, I'm not going anywhere, until I win you back. I'll be here, streaming, changing your heart, day by day. Until, you finally decide to return to your origins." "It's going to be a lot of work. Do you guys understand my plan? I'm not just making any old tree here. We're making the world tree. It's going to take months, probably. I want to make something truly impressive for once."[81]

Trivia: Name: The name "Ceres" refers to the Ceres ancient Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility. It is also the name of a dwarf planet or large asteroid. "Fauna" is an English word referring to the animals of nature. It is also a name of Roman origin, as the name of a goddess of animals, nature, spring, and fertility, and is used as a female given name. Fauna considers her last name to be too formal to use in conversation. However, like Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina'nis, Takanashi Kiara, and Nanashi Mumei, she reads her name in Eastern order, which has confused some of the JP members into calling her "Ceres-chan."

Lore: Fauna's age of four and a half billion years is around the age of the planet Earth, when it first coalesced from galactic dust and early life began to develop. The golden apple that Fauna occasionally holds on her right hand can cure all ailments. Fauna has the ability to restore the entire planet Earth when it is destroyed. She has used this power after Tsukumo Sana removed her size limiter and destroyed the planet during Council's debut relay. Her species is a kirin. The kirin is a four-legged horned mythical creature originating in Chinese mythology, where it is known as the qilin. It is said to be one of the three most powerful mythical creatures, along with the dragon and phoenix. Fauna describes herself as a "druid." Originally a type of priest among Celtic cultures of ancient Britain, about which little is known, the druid was popularized by Dungeons & Dragons as a type of spellcaster with a special connection to nature, first appearing as a playable character class in Eldritch Wizardry (1976).

Likes and dislikes: Her hololive oshi is Gawr Gura.[13][68] Fauna likes animals, drawing, the kalimba, tea, co-op games, horror, and cats. She also likes peaches, which is her favorite fruit other than her golden apple. She prefers animals to plants, noting that her name is Fauna, not Flora. She drinks her tea hot and without milk or sugar. She enjoys peach tea. She enjoys horror games, but is easily scared. Her favorite food is fried rice.[68] Fauna dislikes mushrooms as a food, grasshoppers, and elevators. She is particularly scared of elevators. Her favorite games include 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors; Animal Crossing, Okami, SOMA, and Super Mario Odyssey. She describes Odyssey in particular as one of the best video games ever created. She prefers newer games to retro games. After debut she has shown multiple times to like Hitman 3 a lot. Her favorite anime are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Mob Psycho 100, Made in Abyss, Hunter x Hunter and Death Note. Her favorite music include singers kiki vivi lily and satomoka, and bossa nova. She likes jazz.[13] She also had an emo phase when she was younger, enjoying bands such as Pierce the Veil, Linkin Park, and My Chemical Romance. Her goals are to learn Japanese, learn to sing, create an original song, perform offline collabs with genmates, learn to speedrun games (including Minecraft and Mario Odyssey), and to voice act in a video game. Fauna successfully beat Getting Over It in 4 minutes 52 seconds. Her plans include weekly ASMR streams, community days, and game and art streams. She enjoys 3D gaming streams, and especially Wii Sports.[13] In the holotalk quiz: She prefers hot weather to cold, noodles to rice, IHOP to Denny's, Instagram to Twitter, orange juice to apple, climbing a mountain to running a marathon, PC gaming to console, sweet to spicy, tea to coffee, beach vacation to city, Target to Walmart, texting to phoning, giving presents to receiving, and walking one station to taking the train. She likes pineapple on pizza, sleeping clothed, and her favorite holiday is Hallowe'en. Her panty color is "secret."[13]

World Tree: Her most notable project is the World Tree, an enormous Minecraft build constructed over the span of nearly two years. The tree includes over 100,000 blocks, including over 44,000 wood blocks. The project was announced on 15 February 2023,[82] and followed by a materials collecting stream on 6 March 2023. The one-year anniversary of the project's start was celebrating using hashtag #Anniversatree.[83] The final stream took place on 30 December 2024. Fauna spent 118 hours, 9 minutes, and 13 seconds working on the World Tree on-stream, across 40 streams.[84] She was inspired to begin the project after Haachama's grand Minecraft constructions.[13] To finish the tree before graduation, she was assisted by numerous other holoEN members, including Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, and all members of Advent and Justice.

Miscellaneous: Fauna's birthday, 21 March, is International Day of Forests and the Tree. Fauna has a beauty mark under her right eye, similar to Ninomae Ina'nis'. Coincidentally, her first tweet was a pun, something Ina is famed for. Her first tweet, "oh deer," may refer to the antler-like tree branches in her hair. Fauna's personal emoji, 🌿 (branch), was originally one of candidates for Shishiro Botan's personal emoji before being finalized. Asymmetry is a feature of Fauna's appearance. Fauna has two cats, a 22-year old brown and beige cat named Clover and a 10-year old black cat named Snail. Clover meows quite often in Fauna's streams, while Snail rarely makes an appearance. Clover passed away on 6 November 2022.[85] She is an admirer of hololive member Shirogane Noel and wishes to collab with her some day. She can be somewhat clumsy. She shares the same illustrator Tosaka Asagi with Aizawa Ema from Virtual eSports Project, Kokuyou Lira from VEE, Shishido Akari from NIJISANJI, Wilhelmina Frost from Phase-Connect and independent vtubers Kurokiri Aria and Nimi Nightmare. Fauna is a vegan, but only admitted to that nearly 2 months after her debut, as she doesn't want to come off as too judgmental or obnoxious. She wants to write young adult fiction.[13]
