Their willow composition and symbiosis with Nature itself allows them to summon the strength of elders. Dragon classes: BloodChasers: Bloodchasers have haunted the sleep of many on the continent, based on their reputation for devouring entire villages and cruelly toying with their human victims. As any well-informed person can attest, this is not true. For the Bloodchaser is a beast too proud to feed on such insignificant prey. A perfect offspring of its high-altitude domain, this individual is primarily suited for alpine hunting. Ironwings: Unlike most dragon species, Ironwings are known for their highly social behavior. Flying in packs, they tolerate the presence of humans to a high degree. This particular clade provides companionship to soldiers traveling in the verdant district of Eastvard. Nightshaggers: Although their presence is quite widespread throughout the continent, these beasts are so elusive that actual sightings remain rare. Nightshaggers are nocturnal predators, using their abilities to hide during the day. Horror stories of travelers accidentally stepping on the tail of a sleeping Nightshagger are still quite popular among tavern keepers. Vinedrake: Wandering freely through the hinterland of their birthplace, the young Vinedrake sometimes hear a silent call coming from a Nassyian child ready for the Fibriation Ritual. Upon completion, a Thornweaver and their Vinedrake are united for life. Stonesnouts: Besides the freezing temperatures, avalanches, and other deadly dangers, locals also warn travelers wishing to cross the Valkirian Mountains to be wary of sleeping Stonesnouts in the snow. Stepping on one could be the last mistake you make. Strongscale: The Strongscales arrived in Sarghild thanks to a sailor who brought a group of eggs from an unknown land west of the Grey Sea. Hëd, "the firstborn" in the ancient Sarghild dialect, was considered incredibly docile and capable of carrying heavy loads that most dragons would drop without hesitation. ————————————————————————————- Ironwings appearance: Ironwings have two large horns on top of their skull and a myriad of small spikes on their cheek and jawline. Their snouts are relatively blunt, creating a boxy shape to the skull. Their necks and tails are very long, contrasting with their rather bulky bodies and large wings. They have three toes and four 'fingers' on their wings and a singular spike on the elbow joint. Their spines are adorned with a small row of fins, terminating before the tailtip, which is tipped with a large frill. Similar to Stonesnouts, Ironwings have deep vocalizations, but they are far more raspy and less aggressive in tone. ——————————————— BloodChasers appearance: Bloodchasers are very bulky predators with an emphasis on brute strength. Their heads are large and wreathed in horns and spines, which travel down their back and to the tip of their tail, forming a defensive spiny guard on their dorsal side. The thickened skull and jaw with a lot of space for muscle near the joint implies a strong bite. The bodies of these dragons are bulky, supported in the air by very broad wings that attach much further down the tail than on other dragon types. They sport four wing 'fingers' and two large toe-claws on their wing wrist joint, as well as three more large claws on their hindlegs. In contrast to Nightsnaggers, Bloodchasers vocalizations are deep and gutteral, comparable to a bear or lion's roar with a lot of reverberation in the large chest region. ——————————————— Stonesnouts appearance: Stonesnouts have burly, thickset bodies with deep chests and sturdy limbs. Their tough scales typically have the appearance of rock. Their snouts are relatively blunt, creating a boxy shape to the skull. They have a sharp horn on the tip of their nose, similar to a rhinoceros. An array of spikes cover their neck and shoulders, extending down their back to the tip of their short tail. The wings are broad and have a wide span, with the membrane ending about halfway down their tail. They sport five wing 'fingers' and three large toe-claws on their wing wrist joint, as well as large claws on their hindlegs. Similar to Bloodchasers, Stonesnouts have the deepest vocalizations, but the Stonesnout is more calm and endurant in its tone. ——————————————— Strongscales appearance: Strongscales are bulky, western-style (four-legged) dragons with stubby limbs and large wings. They have four toes on each claw and one wing talon. They have large, blunt heads with a nose horn similar to a Stonesnout but blunted. They usually doesn't make sound. ——————————————— Vinedrake appearance: Vinedrakes have a woody, viny appearance. Their bodies are slim and long, creating a sense of agility and grace. The snout ends in a hooked bird-like beak. Their heads have an array of twisted horns, like tree branches, that extend down their neck and chest like a mane. Their tail looks like a length of vines, ending in a splayed starburst of tendrils. They sport three wing 'fingers' and two toe-claws on their wing wrist joint, but have no claws on their hindlegs. Doesn't have vocal noises. ——————————————— Nightshaggers appearance: Nightsnaggers are very frail-looking dragons. Their exceptionally scrawny legs, thin tails, and overall more lithe build lends them a more agile feel. The wings of these beasts make up for in width what they lack in length, sporting three 'fingers' supporting the long membrane and two additional 'toes' off the hand structure. The hindlegs have only two toes. Their heads sport a unique frill structure that appears to be mobile, rattling when the dragon roars and hisses. They have long snouts and jagged teeth. A myriad of spines line the entire neck, back, and tail of the creature, ending in a spiky ball at the end of its tail, supported by a thicker bat-like structure. Unlike Ironwing's deep vocalizations, Nightsnaggers' consists of hisses, screeches, and high-pitched roars ————————————————————————————- The Bloodchasers are usually the Marauders mount The Ironwings are usually the Windguards mount The Nightshaggers are usually the Phantoms mount The Vinedrakes are usually the Thornweavers mount The Stonesnouts are usually the Stormraisers mount
