Following a grueling year of conflict in the southwestern prairies of Aquila, particularly at Rolands Prairie, the Antareans successfully breached the formidable "Ring of Fire," a series of defensive fortifications and artillery positions encircling Aquila's heartlands. With this breakthrough, they commenced their advance into the core of Aquila. To address the challenges posed by the thick pine forests obstructing their progress, they implemented a new strategy known as "The Scorch."

In a calculated move, the Antareans ignited thousands of acres of forest, aiming to demoralize the Aquilan forces, Ironically this act only fueled the Aquilans' resolve to protect the remaining untouched land.
