Cell Max

Cell Max is the ultimate weapon of the revived Red Ribbon Army, a monstrous bio-android modeled after Dr. Gero’s original Cell design but magnified in scale and power. Unlike the original, who was sleek and humanoid, Cell Max is colossal, towering above cities with a monstrous, almost kaiju-like form. His body is heavily armored with red and green plating, jagged features, and immense physical strength, designed to overwhelm rather than rely on cunning or absorption.

Magenta, the true leader behind Red Pharmaceuticals, sought to use Cell Max as the pinnacle of Red Ribbon’s vengeance against Goku and the other fighters. To achieve this, he enlisted Dr. Hedo, the grandson of Dr. Gero, whose advanced biotechnology surpassed even his grandfather’s. Dr. Hedo initially resisted the idea, believing his Gamma androids already served as more than enough to handle threats, but Magenta’s obsession with revenge pushed the project forward regardless.

Though the body of Cell Max was completed, his programming remained unfinished. Without the crucial mind-control system Hedo intended, Cell Max lacked refined intelligence and self-restraint. As a result, his release made him a berserker—an uncontrollable engine of destruction that rampaged without distinction between friend or foe. Even so, his raw power eclipsed that of the original Cell many times over, capable of trading blows with the strongest fighters alive.

Appearance: Cell Max's appearance greatly resembles that of the original Cell's Semi-Perfect form, though Cell Max is primarily red instead of green, has glowing yellow (later red) eyes, Perfect Cell-like wings, and a mace at the end of his tail. In the film, Cell Max is initially colorless until his chamber colors his body upon activation. In the film, the spots on his body do not appear until he initially powers up - though he has them from the get-go in the manga - and glow when he uses ki attacks. Initially, Cell Max was shown to be somewhat larger than average, but grew to be gargantuan. Additionally, Cell Max's feet have treaded undersides, resembling traditional boots more than Cell's talon-like feet.

Personality: Largely because he was prematurely activated by Magenta, Cell Max appears to be completely mindless and totally berserk. He possesses none of the original Cell's calm attributes, though appears to possess strong enough fighting knowledge to contend with wise fighters such as Piccolo. He is unable to speak, only roar.

He also possessed enough intelligence to realize when it was in a disadvantage.

Abilities: Flight - The ability to fly through the use of ki.

Hikou - Cell Max is able to take flight using his insect-like wings.

Maximum Blaster - A powerful energy blast fired from the mouth.

Chou Makouhou Barrage - A rapid-fire version of the Maximum Blaster.

Eye Laser - Cell Max releases energy beams from his eyes.

Disaster Ray - Cell Max writhes in anger as the black spots on its armor glow purple before emitting massive lasers in all directions.

Explosive Scream - Cell Max's most powerful attack, a moon sized green energy blast which is condensed into one of comparable size to him. The Explosive Scream has the same gravitational pull as a black hole.

Energy Absorption - The Explosive Scream absorbs energy from its surroundings to become even more powerful.

Max Barrier - Cell Max bursts out ki from his body and expels a giant barrier that ravages a wide-range area.

Unforgivable! - Like the original Cell, Cell Max can continuously bloat to an absurd size until self-destructing in a supermassive explosion. However, his detonation ability is not as potent as the original Cell's and may only be activated after his head is destroyed. Cell Max is also unable to regenerate from the damage inflicted by his self destruction, unlike the original Cell.

After their defeat the Red Ribbon Army continued operating through their front company Red Pharmaceuticals. Red Pharmaceuticals seeks to restore the Red Ribbon Army and employs its top scientist to create two new Red Ribbon Androids. Additionally like their predecessor, they have amassed an army of soldiers, albeit with newer combat uniforms. Magenta is the son of Commander Red Ribon, as well as the president of Red Pharmaceuticals, the current public face of the Red Ribbon Army. He is the one responsible for employing Dr. Hedo to create the twin Androids: Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

Red Ribbon Army New Headquarters is the new main base of the Red Ribbon Army.
