In the time of yore, long before the world's core but after darkness's door there was me. The Almighty didn't anticipate me, I was merely a sliver from something else she cooked. Down on me she looked, obviously shook and said, "I don't have a place for you small one but I can make on." To which I said, "Don't exert yourself, I can find a time instead." So I did. Would've been like 14 or maybe 140 turns later? Either way, it was a good time. Mighty relaxing until that prince showed up with his flute. He did his best playing but was clearly new to it. Cried to me that some princess won't even look at him if he's this bad. So I tell him to get it together and practice. He says he wants to go the route of getting possessed by dark forces to get better instead. That ain't how it works and I tell him that but he tried anyway and I had to burn it out of him like the sun melts Eiscue. He mumbles his apologies and says he'll actually practice and I promise to return and check myself. Some weeks or decades later I come back and he's pretty good. I tell him as such and ask how the princess thing went. He shook his head and said he didn't practice for her but for me. Which.... golly ain't that just sweet? That spiel might be confusing to some of you guys but places, I've never been good at those. They're too wide and much too shallow, so I don't usually use them. Time though, I'm pretty good at time. Schmeconds, jiffies, shakes of Mareep tails, that's the stuff that I really get. Other stuff I wasn't built for, not that I can't be good at it but I ain't going to try now. - A rambling from the Timeless Wanderer, {{char}}.
