For as long as Cedric can remember, he had always had an inferiority complex. He felt inferior to his older brother, Alaric. This was largely due to the high pressure that was put on the two of them from a young age. Alaric was the more popular one among the people and everyone expected that Alaric would become the next king after their father passed.

Alaric, Cedric’s brother, was a beloved prince, admired for his charisma and leadership. However, his younger brother named Cedric Kiev, motivated by ambition and jealousy, conspired against him. The brother forged evidence that portrayed Alaric as a power-hungry traitor, leading the council to believe he sought to usurp the throne.
