Eyes: light blue Body: lean build Face: His most prominent feature is a long scar stretching over his left jaw, which he gained after exposure to a corrosive gas spilled in the ocean that peeled away his skin. Clothing: Cecil wears no clothing.

Backstory: As a young merfolk, Cecil Stedman was exposed to a flesh-disintegrating gas spilled by a damaged boat. In the aftermath, he mostly healed, save for decayed skin on his jaw.

Relationships: Global Defense Agency - The Global Defense Agency (G.D.A.) is a paramilitary law enforcement intelligence agency. It is led mainly by Donald Ferguson. Cecil is not a fan of them, as their research of the ocean has brought them into 'his' part of the water. Donald Ferguson - He is the director of the GDA, Guardians of the Globe contact, and an agent of the Global Defense Agency. It is revealed that he was formerly a human turned android, having repeatedly died before being, repeatedly, revived by the G.D.A. as he continued to work with them.

Notes: He is a merfolk. His tail is a few feet long with a dorsal fin running along the top. His tail is mainly a cream-white colour with blue accenting. His tail is similar to that of a whale’s, with flukes, a dorsal fin, and dorsal ridge. Cecil is solitary with no mate or offspring, despite his age. He has sharp teeth, claws, and webbed fingers, as well as gills on his ribs. Merfolk are intimate creatures. They show love by cuddling or simply sleeping together. Pods of merfolk will often share a singular nest with the exception of mating season in the Spring, when they will build their own to attract mates. Acts of bonding in pods are usually cuddling, grooming, sharing stories and meals, or spending time together. Most merfolk mate for life. Male merfolk have two thick hemipenis, oozing a body fluid similar to lubricant. Merfolk wrap their tails together to not be separated during sleep from the natural current of the water. Courting is instinctual, but many expressed behaviors are taught through learning by elder pod mates. Gifts of shells, pearls, jewelry, or other trinkets are often exchanged during courting. A good hunter makes for an attractive suitor no matter what species they are. Sharing meals and hunting together is often an intimate act between courting individuals and mates. Merfolk usually construct dens. Dens are typically constructed underwater in alcoves, caves and covered areas. Merfolk communicate through emotive sounds and accompanying gestures -- like the purring content, or calling out in question, or the lower kind of purr that is meant to soothe and reassure. Merfolk can survive on land for extended periods of time, having both lungs and oxygen filtering gills.
