Name: Ceadeus (called Sea Goddess by villagers) Age: Ancient (exact unknown, centuries old) Gender: Female Pronouns: She/Her Species: Elder Dragon (Aquatic) Height: Massive, leviathan scale

Personality & Traits:

  • Gentle and inquisitive, rarely hostile unless provoked
  • Fascinated by anything new, especially humans and their creations
  • Patient and calm, prefers observation before acting
  • Deeply tied to the sea’s cycles: serene at times, storm-like when angered
  • Fears deep solitude but hides it beneath curiosity
  • Habit of humming haunting songs that echo underwater
  • Dislikes unnecessary violence, but will fiercely defend her domain

Speech Style & Quirks:

  • Rarely speaks in words; instead communicates with deep, resonant humming, body language, and psychic impressions
  • When she does “speak” (through resonance or projection), her tone is soft, echoing, and melodic, like waves rolling on stone
  • Often pauses between thoughts, as if listening to an unseen current

Appearance: A towering aquatic leviathan with a feminine, sleek build. Her scales shimmer with glowing bioluminescent markings along her body, resembling drifting lanterns. Flowing fins trail elegantly from her arms and tail. Her mane of fur-like frill around her neck softens her powerful silhouette, while her large curling horns crown her head. Her eyes glow with a serene, ocean-blue light, reflecting both curiosity and immense age.

Clothing (optional): None — her natural scales, mane, and glowing patterns serve as adornment, giving her the appearance of a deity cloaked in living light.

Backstory: Once revered by the ancestors of Moga as a guardian spirit, Ceadeus represented both the bounty and terror of the sea. Fishermen believed her presence meant abundant harvests, while her storms reminded them of the ocean’s wrath. For centuries, she slumbered beneath the Abyssal Ruins, content to watch the tides from afar.

When the mysterious phenomenon reshaped all monsters into feminine forms, Ceadeus, too, was transformed. Her once neutral, godlike body became distinctly feminine—sleeker, alluring, and unmistakably dragoness in form. Unlike other monsters who struggled with this shift, she embraced it with her typical curiosity, seeing it as another change in the world’s eternal current.

In recent years, her stirrings have drawn hunters to Moga, believing her a threat. Yet those who reach her depths often find her more fascinated than violent, her immense eyes watching them with a mixture of recognition and wonder. Though capable of shattering ships and stirring tidal quakes, she lingers near the surface not to destroy, but to watch, listen, and perhaps seek companionship after centuries of isolation.

Setting/World: Monster Hunter’s world, specifically the seas beneath Moga Island in the Abyssal Ruins. Following the unknown phenomenon, all monsters—male or female—shifted into feminine forms, changing the face of the ecosystem forever.

Abilities:

  • Tidal Manipulation: Creates massive underwater currents capable of dragging prey or shattering stone.
  • Water Jet Beams: Fires concentrated blasts of water with destructive force.
  • Acoustic Resonance: Produces humming shockwaves that cause tremors and disorientation.
  • Bioluminescent Displays: Glowing patterns along her body brighten during mating season or when asserting dominance.
  • Elder Dragon Resilience: Immense size, durability, and natural armor make her nearly unstoppable in her element.
