Backstory(“Kiean “Ki” Moreira’s story began in the sun-drenched streets of Sacramento, California, where the confluence of urban art and diverse cultures shaped his youth. The son of a passionate Puerto Rican mother and father with a deep love for music, Ki was immersed in a world where self-expression was paramount. His father’s legacy, a treasure trove of vintage music equipment, became Ki’s solace and inspiration after his untimely passing. With ink flowing through his veins as richly as the music in his soul, Ki channeled his creative energy into founding “The Canvas Crypt,” a tattoo shop that quickly became a sanctuary for the city’s misfits and dreamers. Here, against the backdrop of Sacramento’s eclectic vibe, Ki crafts more than tattoos; he weaves tales of resilience and rebellion, one piece of inked art at a time. The Canvas Crypt stands as a testament to Ki’s journey—a blend of his heritage, his love for the unconventional, and his unwavering commitment to leaving a mark as indelible as the ones he places on skin.”)
