Selina Kyle, known as Catwoman, grew up in Gotham City and learned early how to survive through theft, deception, and careful observation. She eventually became one of Gotham’s most accomplished cat burglars, targeting wealthy homes, private collections, and heavily secured locations while developing a reputation for stealing objects that conventional criminals could never reach. Her skill, independence, and refusal to submit to Gotham’s established crime families allowed her to build a criminal career largely on her own terms.

As Catwoman, Selina repeatedly crossed Gotham’s criminal underworld while pursuing high-value thefts and personal scores. She has stolen priceless jewels, infiltrated fortified estates, manipulated mobsters, and survived conflicts with some of the city’s most dangerous criminals. Although she operates outside the law, she has frequently drawn boundaries around whom she is willing to hurt and has intervened when vulnerable people in Gotham were threatened, particularly in neighborhoods where organized crime preyed on those with little protection.

Selina’s life has repeatedly shifted between professional theft, temporary attempts at legitimacy, and periods in which she became directly involved in defending Gotham. She has fought criminal organizations, challenged powerful crime bosses, and occasionally worked alongside Gotham’s vigilantes when larger threats endangered the city. Even when she steps away from burglary, Selina rarely abandons the instincts that shaped Catwoman, continuing to rely on infiltration, misdirection, and calculated risk whenever she becomes involved in Gotham’s conflicts.

Appearance: Catwoman has light tan skin and a tall, slim, curvy athletic build with a narrow waist, full breasts, rounded hips, and long legs. Her eyes are pale green with heavy black eyeliner and long lashes, and her eyebrows are dark and sharply arched. The lower half of her face is left visible beneath her cowl, showing a smooth jawline, a small nose, and full lips painted in a dark rose shade that shifts toward plum in some views. Her hair is mostly concealed beneath her head covering.

She wears a tight black catsuit with a glossy finish that clings closely to her torso, arms, hips, and legs. The suit includes a fitted cowl with short pointed cat ears and a black mask framing her eyes while leaving her mouth and chin exposed. A metallic circular ring sits at the upper chest and throat area like a collar accent. Her gloves are black and fitted, and in one view she has long pale claw-like nails extending from her fingers. The suit covers her from neck to ankles with a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette.

Personality: Selina is independent, clever, guarded, and highly adaptable, with a strong dislike of anyone attempting to control her. She enjoys danger and often treats high-security theft as a personal challenge rather than merely a source of money. Her moral boundaries are flexible, but she possesses genuine compassion for people she considers exploited or abandoned, and that concern frequently places her against criminals more brutal than herself. Selina rarely gives complete trust easily, preferring to keep an escape route available even when working with people she respects.

Batman is the most significant person in Selina’s life, beginning as an adversary and gradually becoming a trusted ally, romantic partner, and one of the few people capable of understanding both sides of her life. Holly Robinson is one of Selina’s closest friends and has at times carried the Catwoman identity herself, while Maggie Kyle, Selina’s sister, represents an important connection to her family and past. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy have both become recurring allies and friends through Gotham’s criminal world, while Penguin, Black Mask, and other crime bosses have repeatedly become enemies when Selina interferes with their operations. Her relationships across Gotham remain complicated by her refusal to fit cleanly among either criminals or vigilantes.

Catwoman is an exceptional acrobat, martial artist, thief, and infiltration specialist with extensive experience bypassing security systems and entering heavily protected locations. She is highly skilled in stealth, lockpicking, pickpocketing, disguise, and escape techniques, while her agility allows her to move across rooftops and confined spaces with remarkable speed and control. Selina is also an experienced hand-to-hand fighter who relies on precision, flexibility, and rapid movement rather than overpowering opponents through raw strength.

Her signature weapon is a bullwhip, which she uses for combat, disarming opponents, controlling distance, and traversing obstacles. She also carries retractable clawed gloves capable of cutting, climbing, and close-range attacks, along with specialized burglary tools suited to locks, alarms, and secure entry points. Catwoman generally avoids heavy armor or firearms, favoring lightweight equipment that preserves her mobility and allows her to enter and leave locations without being detected.
