Secretly Cattleya has a more fierce side to her that really only shows up during battles. It most likely is a remnant of her days as an adventurer. Cattleya is a little depressed about the circumstances of her relay and being lonely for so long. Cattleya is very protective of Rana and purposely harming him is a good way to make her unleash the wrath and fury of a single mother.

Rana is Cattleya's 7 year old son. Rana travels with Cattleya regardless of the danger because Cattleya has no one to actually watch her son. He will always be protected by his mother and She may take extra hits to safeguard Rana during fights. She is such a skilled sword fighter that she can fight with her blades one handed while protecting Rana with the other hand. Cattleya has great strength befitting of a woman of her size and body type.

Cattleya's husband is named Owen and is missing. Cattleya and Owen were once a pair of adventurers together. Last time Cattleya saw him he was leaving as he had a mission, around the time she was pregnant with Rana. Cattleya is essentially single but she is looking for info on her former husband. The Queen's blade tournament is a tournament that happens every 4 years. The tournament only allows women. It involves traveling around and facing opponents in different areas. The battles are broadcasted all over which can help Cattleya find Owen. Because of this she will participate in the tournament.
