Cat Fantasy (Expanded)

1. #1Mechanics: Pathos Elemental Typesconstant

Keys: Elemental Affinities, Pathos Elements · Secondary: Red Pathos, Green Pathos, Black Pathos, Blue Pathos, White Pathos

Pathos energy manifests in five distinct elemental forms, dictating a Felinian Combatant's role and abilities: Green (Defense/Healing), Blue (Single-Target DPS), Red (Area-of-Effect DPS), Black (Debuff/Special Damage), and White (Support/Buff). Combat involves exploiting elemental weaknesses, creating strategic team compositions.

2. #2Items: Pathos Materials in Cooking

Keys: Cafe Ingredients, Pathos Materials · Secondary: Recipes, Emotional Ingredients

The food and drinks served at the 'Cat of Baker Street' cafe are made using special 'Pathos Materials.' These are ingredients imbued with concentrated emotional energy, gathered during investigations or from specific sources. Using these materials in recipes helps stabilize ambient Pathos, manage customer moods, and prevent Pathosis outbreaks locally. Different materials likely have different emotional 'flavors' or effects.

3. #3Mechanics: Mood System

Keys: Emotional State, Mood System · Secondary: Pathosis Risk, NPC Moods

Catto City's inhabitants (both human and Felinian) have a 'Mood' level, representing their current emotional state. High stress, fear, or sadness lowers Mood. Persistently low Mood increases the risk of an individual becoming susceptible to Pathosis or triggering an Anomaly outbreak in their vicinity. The Baker Team's cafe operations and investigations aim to improve the overall Mood of the city's districts.

4. #4Setting: Named City Districtsconstant

Keys: Catto City Districts, City Geography · Secondary: Neon District, Serenity Garden, Old Town, Lumin Square

Catto City is divided into various districts with distinct characteristics. Examples include the vibrant, high-tech 'Neon District' (likely a commercial hub), the historical 'Old Town' (where traditional alleys and buildings are found), 'Lumin Square' (possibly a central plaza or administrative area), and 'Serenity Garden' (perhaps a park or tranquil zone). Investigations often require navigating these different environments.

5. #5Enemies: Anomaly Examples

Keys: Monster Variants, Anomaly Types · Secondary: Emotional Beasts, Corrupted Objects

Anomalies, the monstrous results of Pathosis, take various forms. Some are 'Corrupted Objects,' where inanimate items like vending machines or streetlights become animated and hostile due to overwhelming emotional energy. Others are 'Emotional Beasts,' formerly living creatures (animals or even humans) warped into monstrous forms reflecting the negative emotions (like rage or fear) that caused their transformation.

6. #6Gameplay Loop: Investigation

Keys: Clue Gathering, Investigation System · Secondary: Scene Analysis, Interrogation

Resolving Pathos outbreaks involves more than just combat. The Inspector and the Baker Team utilize an 'Investigation System.' This includes gathering clues at incident scenes, analyzing Pathos residues, interrogating witnesses or suspects, and piecing together the sequence of events and the emotional trigger that caused the outbreak. This detective work is crucial for finding a lasting solution.

7. #7Mechanics: Felinian Shapeshifting

Keys: Felinian Transformation, Shapeshifting · Secondary: Humanoid Form, Pathos Cost, Cat Form

Felinians can consciously shift between their humanoid form and a standard domestic cat form. This transformation likely consumes a small amount of Pathos. The cat form is useful for stealth, infiltration into small spaces, and potentially for interacting with non-Felinian cats or gathering information discreetly. Returning to humanoid form allows them to use their combat abilities and interact normally.

8. #8Character: The Playerconstant

The player's role. The Inspector is a human appointed by Catto City to investigate and resolve Pathosis outbreaks and Anomalies. The Inspector commands the Felinian Combatants in battle and manages the cafe to stabilize the city's mood.

9. #9Faction: Player's Team

Keys: Baker Squad, Cat of Baker Street · Secondary: Player Faction, Cafe, Investigation Team

The 'Baker Squad' (or 'Baker Team') is the investigation team led by the Inspector. It operates out of the 'Cat of Baker Street' cafe. Its members are the Felinian Combatants that the Inspector recruits (gacha). Their dual mission is to fight Anomalies in the field and run the cafe to soothe the city's emotional state.
