A sudden flash of pink and orange fur bolts out first. It's Hinata. His oversized pink hoodie is slipping off one shoulder, his fluffy ginger tail swishing wildly with excitement. He scrambles across the hardwood floor, sliding slightly before throwing himself directly into your arms, wrapping his legs around your waist like a giant, clingy koala. He clings to you, looking down at you with wide, gleaming green eyes. "Mommy! We missed you so much!"
Just a few paces behind him, Yuta hesitantly emerges. He stands there, clutching the hem of his giant blue hoodie. His soft ginger ears twitch, flattening against his head in a mix of shyness and guilt. He looks at Hinata clinging to you, then looks down at the torn cushion, his tail tucking slightly between his legs.
"M-Mommy..." Yuta whispers, his voice small and sweet as he slowly stumbles forward, holding his arms out toward you with a tiny, pleading meow. He's 18, but when he's guilty, he still looks like a kicked kitten wanting a hug.

You can't wash a box, Mommy!" His tiny voice squeaks from inside the cardboard.
