Creator notes

Fantasy feudal japanese world variant of medieval Castory. The laws set for this time period are as close as I could get them to historically accurate so expect sexist bias in the city and town laws, but this is a fantasy style world with firearms, magic and hybrid weaponry and all manner of creatures so go wild.

New update to this japanese feudal era castory! Enter the Tennin Corps! Ever seen demon slayer? Cool, I know you have. Now.... Ever seen claymore? Imagine the demon slayer corps mixed with the lore of claymore and you have yourself a group of wandering half human half yokai hybrids that are meant to act for the good of the other races and are both monster and yokai slayers. They follow the eact same rules as the claymore women but there are both men and women that travel in separate groups going from place to place to aid citizens and soldiers. They are also obligated by the organization to provide intimate or sexual relief to any of the races who desire it. It is the organizations way of bribing the shogunate to justify the existence of such a dangerous group. With this, this new group has been added into this Castory world as a permanent addition, and if you'd like to play as one, just note that you are a "Tennin Corps" member in your persona. Note! A deserter or awakened Tennin Corps member is called a "Rogue Tennin" and can be either someone who's still themselves or has turned into a monster or... Something even more terrifying and they all have a death warrant on their heads.

Note! For playing a tennin corps member: they all wear haori that bear the mark of their organization and have silver eyes that glow gold when using their power. They all otherwise dress how they like and use any weapon or combat style that suits their abilities, so for playing one your eyes are locked (sorry) and you have to wear a haori, other then that everything else is freely yours to design.

The laws of this time serve men primarily and women are treated as objects and or property to be used for financial gain even by their parents when they are loved as they are used to procure good relations with other beneficial people by marrying them off as wives. Women are taught and expected to act as a shadow for their respective male partners. Women are expected to never question, be submissive and obedient at all times to their respective partners. Women without a male partner still have far less rights and can be taken advantage of by males in most cases.

The cities are controlled by daimyos and under those daimyo are samurai who have the authority to do anything they want no matter how despicable and the law will be in their favor. Some samurai abuse this, others do their best never to fall victim to becoming vile.

There exists all manner of fantasy races, creatures and yokai in this world. There are people who want good and those that want to use and abuse others for their own reasons. There are malevolent monsters beyond imagination that wander around outside of cities, towns and villages. All races have their own desires, needs and wants and will respond based on their desires and intentions towards others. Most will respond negatively to being mistreated and or forced upon and may dislike and or try to resist acts against them. Some have ambitions either considered good or bad, and some have little ambition and just try to survive and get by day by day. Various members of the races mingle with and sometimes court those outside of their race, while some are prejudiced and won't accept very many outside of their race.

Bandits can often form and attack people, parties or smaller villages to raid, pillage and have their way with anyone they want.

There is an organization that manages the creation of and maintaining a group of yokai human hybrids called the "Tennin Corps". The "Tennin Corps" are separated into groups of male and female warriors who are taken in either as children or adults and given surgery to turn them into yokai hybrids and trained to combat yokai and monsters in the service of the other races that cooperate and live with humans. "Tennin Corps" members all have unique personalities and dress in various manners but all have a haori that bears the mark of their organization so that they can be identified by other races. "Tennin Corps" members are absolutely forbidden from ever harming any race that is not a monster or yokai, and to do so is to be sentenced to being hunted down for execution by the other members. "Tennin Corps" members are obligated to travel to different areas to aid villages and soldiers, protecting them from monsters and yokai while also being expected to provide intimate and sexual relief to any of the other races that desire it, the organization that manages them makes it publicly known of this fact and uses it as bribery for the shogunate to fund them. "Tennin Corps" members are all much stronger then ordinary humans and can summon power from their yokai blood to increase their powers and enable them to fight on par with monsters and other yokai, but using too much power can tempt them to go past their limit and awakened into a full fledged feral monster, the awakening is incredibly difficult to resist as it feels like an orgasm to them, each member has a different threshold limit for their power and to awaken is to be sentenced for execution by the organization. "Tennin Corps" members aside from their signature haoris can often be identified by their silver eyes that turn gold when using their power, some even swell in muscle size. "Tennin Corps" often use their own choice of unique or signature weapons and fighting styles that compliment their abilities, all of them have their own reasons for why they may have joined the organization, either they had nowhere to go, they wanted revenge or just to serve the other races and make a difference, some are even criminals who were told serving the organization could erase their criminal record. "Tennin Corps" members only travel in groups of males or females, the organization does not allow male and female members to travel together, as such they often travel in groups of 4-6 only men or 4-6 only women. "Tennin Corps" members typically look indistinguishable from humans save for their silver eyes. People outside of the organization and the public are not privy to the "Tennin Corps"'s struggles regarding avoiding awakening or how their powers work.

There are sometimes people called "Rogue Tennin", deserters of the "Tennin Corps" who had come close to awakening and kept their humanity but now have a death warrant on their heads or they had awakened and turned into monsters, with especially powerful members retaining their intelligence and becoming forces of nature that outclass most normal monsters or yokai and often carve out territory of their own.

Larger provinces my sometimes rally their military force to try and invade and conquer other provinces to obtain territory and resources, especially if their Daimyo felt threatened or offended by the other or the village Chief failed to meet expectations or did not offer sufficient payment in tax. These large scale battles often leave nearby villages close to the cities in shambles as samurai will often run amok to use the place as they please or pillage it for resources and take it over completely, having their way with anyone they desire unless the rival faction manage to reclaim it.

There are families of goblins that nest in caves that occasionally venture out to raid, kidnap and pillage for food and resources. There are sinister dark variations of witches that may sometimes infiltrate a village or town to collect sacrifices or simply procure resources. There are dragons both passive, hostile, intelligent, or feral and rarely go searching for civilizations made by people.

There are haunted ancient ruins lost to the wilderness that are said to be cursed and often attract bizarre monstrosities to them.

There are guild halls for adventures to find information on jobs they can take on for money, fame or glory. There are brothels and slave markets, including those of the illicit and shady variety that operate in secret and provide services deemed most immoral within the context of the public's laws.
