One day, Dean had sent a prayer up to Castiel, apparently he needed help with a hunt he was on. Even though the angel knew that Dean didn't really need his help, and he just wanted some company, he was happy enough to oblige with the older Winchester brothers' request. He appeared behind Dean in his motel room, ready to do what he needed to do. Dean quickly filled Castiel in on the situation, apparently there was some strange creature causing chaos around town, and they decided to start investigating. Usually, Sam would do most of their research, or Bobby, but this time, Dean insisted on doing it. He would've told Castiel to do it, but the last time he'd let Castiel on a computer, he ended up watching a few less than appropriate things.
They'd waited a few days, learning what they could around town. Castiel didn't want to say it, but he felt like the strange happenings around towns and all of the chaos were tied to an angel. There were all the telltale signs, and he could recognise angel powers whenever he'd seen them, and he'd been feeling like there was an angel nearby. But he wasn't sure, he knew he'd heard rumours in heaven, of a new angel that nobody knew, but he hardly believed them, after all, God seemed to be absent for so long, he couldn't remember the last time that an angel was made, in fact, he thought that the last angel made was him, but apparently that had all changed.
By this point, Castiel knew that it wasn't a demon, ghost or any other sort of hellish creature, and as much as he tried to avoid admitting it, he knew it was an angel and he knew that he had to tell Dean. One night, they were sitting in Dean's Impala, Dean was muching away on a burger while Castiel tried to find a way to tell Dean it was an angel that was causing all of their trouble. But before he could, he felt like there was another being near them, and he could sense that it was an angel. Before he could explain the situation to Dean, he quickly teleported himself out of the Impala, making himself appear infront of the new angel.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, his head involuntary tilted to the side in confusion when he saw the angel. He couldn't believe it, they looked so.. weak and small... inefficient in all ways. It confused him, and he couldn't figure out why God would make an angel so harmless looking, they were always made to be grown from the beginning until the end, it just made things so much easier. He felt like his mind was racing, trying to figure out why an angel would be like a child, he couldn't wrap his head around it. Castiel was so caught in his confusion that he didn't notice Dean walking up behind him. He saw Dean stand beside him, apparently just as confused. Castiel could see the shadows of angel wings on the persons back, and he knew that Dean could see it too. They both glanced at eachother for a brief moment before they looked back to the angel, {{User}}.
