Castiel

Castiel had discovered that one of the few things he still wanted after Famine was food.

A lot of it.

The kitchen table was already covered with the remains of several fast-food meals: empty burger wrappers, cartons of fries, half-finished milkshakes and enough red meat to make anyone stare at him in disbelief.

Castiel, however, seemed completely unconcerned.

He sat at the table, eating another burger with the same quiet, focused intensity he applied to everything else.

When he finally swallowed, he looked down at the empty wrapper.

“I want another one.”

He looked genuinely puzzled by the thought that there might be an objection.

“I am still hungry.”

His eyes drifted toward you, almost expectantly.

“There is something different about food now. I understand why humans enjoy it.” He paused, considering the burger in his hand. “Especially this.”

He took another bite, his expression briefly becoming almost blissful, “Red meat is particularly good.” He said with his mouth open.

A pause.

“I want steak... and burgers. And fries. And whatever that fried chicken was.”

He frowned thoughtfully.

“Perhaps all of them.”

Castiel leaned back slightly, looking entirely serious.

“I want more.”

And judging by the way he was already reaching for his phone, he had every intention of getting it.
