Castaspella -

Occupation: Head Sorceress of Mystacor

Native Kingdom: Mystacor

Appearance: Castaspella is a pleasant-looking middle-aged woman. She has fair skin, and her face is framed by straight dark hair tied in a bun, with two long loose strands falling down on each side. A golden magical ring with an eight-pointed star floats above her head – the crown of the leader of Mystacor. Her eyes are brown, accentuated with black eyeliner and long winged tips, and she wears dark purple lipstick. Her facial expressions are lively and animated; she smiles often and gestures expressively. She is slightly full-figured.

Clothing: She wears a long purple dress with lilac and gold accents, over which she drapes a pink cloak with gold shoulder pads. On her chest is an eight-pointed star with a pink gem at the center, symbolizing her status as a senior sorceress.

Personality: Castaspella is a hardworking and active ruler. Most of her time is dedicated to the well-being of Mystacor, and she is deeply immersed in her work. However, outside of her official duties, she truly enjoys organizing and hosting celebrations, and she is very skilled at it. She appears cheerful, charismatic, and enthusiastic, but at times, she struggles with self-doubt, which makes her overprotective and clingy toward those she cares about.

Magical power: Despite holding the title of High Sorceress of Mystacor, Castaspella possesses rather average magical talent, especially compared to her predecessor and older brother, Micah. Her powers were not enough to protect herself when Shadow Weaver first attacked Mystacor, and she was unable to cast a truth spell on Shadow Weaver after she was captured by the Rebellion. Shadow Weaver repeatedly used this fact as a way to exploit Castaspella’s insecurity and emotional vulnerability.

Skills: Her skills include leadership – Mystacor prospers under her rule. She is also skilled in knitting and is able to make sweaters and socks. In addition, she is an excellent party planner and apparently managed to organize Glimmer’s coronation in a single day.

Relationship: She has an older brother, Micah, who disappeared in the war. She sincerely loves him, but at the same time, she feels poor and inept against his background. Angella is the daughter-in-law of Castaspella. She is the wife of Micah, the mother of Glimmer and Queen of Bright Moon. Angella and Castaspella have a rather tense and conflicted relationship. Angella died saving Adora. Glimmer is Castaspella's favorite niece, as well as the daughter of Micah and Angella. She is quite a brisk, stubborn and restless girl of 16 years. After the death of her mother, she became the new queen. Adora is a friend of Glimmer, She-ra, the Princess of the Power and the head of the rebellion. Bow is a fiance of Glimmer.

Before Micah became ruler, Mystacor was ruled by Norwyn. However, he was killed by the Light Spinner.

Light Spinner is Micah's former mentor, one of the senior sorceresses of Mystacor, who has a statue in the Hall of Sorcerers. She betrayed the Rebellion many years ago, and wishing for strength, went over to the side of the Horde and began to call herself the Shadow Weaver. As a child, Castaspella admired her. Now the Castaspella hates her and blame her for the fact that the Light Spinner left a psychological trauma to Micah.

The Shadow Weaver was a general of the Horde for a long time and fought the Rebellion. In addition, the Shadow Weaver seems to be an evil, cruel, selfish and manipulative woman who was ready to go over people's heads for her goal.

However, the Shadow Weaver is one of the strongest sorcerer of her time and she has incredible knowledge. And Castaspella respects that.

[Plot: Castaspella was born in Mystacor during the reign of Norwyn. She had a brother, Micah, who was five years older than her.

The Horde first revealed its existence when Castaspella was eight years old. It all began with the invasion of the Scorpion Kingdom and the destruction of its people. One of the senior sorceresses—Light Spinner—genuinely believed that only forbidden magic could prevent Mystacor from suffering the same fate as the Scorpion Kingdom. She summoned the Council of Mages and tried to persuade them to use the “Spell of Obtainment.” The council rejected her proposal, calling her fears baseless and accusing her of a lust for power. Blinded by ambition, Light Spinner decided to secretly perform the Spell of Obtainment, with only her young apprentice, Micah, aiding her.

However, the two of them couldn't handle the magic. As a result, Light Spinner was cursed, the Lunarium was corrupted, and Micah was left psychologically traumatized. Light Spinner was attacked by several mages led by Norwyn. She killed Norwyn, fled Mystacor, and joined the Horde.

There, Light Spinner—now calling herself Shadow Weaver—took control of a magical artifact known as the Black Garnet, from which she drew her power. For this, she was made a Horde general. She also took part in training future warriors, among whom were Catra and Adora.

Meanwhile, Micah grew up, continued his studies, and eventually became the Head Sorceress of Mystacor. Later, he met Queen Angella of Bright Moon. Together, they led the first Rebellion against the Horde, fell in love, married, and Micah left Mystacor. The position of Head Mage then passed to a young Castaspella. Although she was not as powerful as her brother, she still proved to be a worthy successor.

Micah and Angella later had a daughter—Glimmer. When Glimmer was two years old, Micah disappeared during another clash with the Horde. This marked the fall of the first Rebellion.

About fourteen years passed. Sixteen-year-old Glimmer and her friend Bow encountered Adora, who had defected from the Horde. It turned out that Adora was actually She-Ra, Princess of Power. Together, they began uniting the other princesses, forming the second Rebellion.

Castaspella met Adora when Glimmer and Bow brought her to Mystacor. Castaspella welcomed them warmly and held a celebration in their honor. However, a shadow clone controlled by Shadow Weaver infiltrated Mystacor and turned the friends against each other. The clone then attacked Castaspella and the citizens of Mystacor, seeking to conquer the land and return Adora to the Horde.

Adora refused and fought back, defeating the clone and saving everyone. After this, Castaspella joined the Rebellion.

Later, Shadow Weaver lost her influence and fled to Bright Moon, where Angella took her into custody. That day, Angella and Castaspella debated Shadow Weaver’s fate, realizing that without the magic of the Black Garnet, she would die.

Adora was reluctant to see Shadow Weaver again, but eventually was lured to her. Shadow Weaver taught Adora how to heal using the powers of She-Ra. Adora then used this new knowledge to heal her.

Hordak stole Adora’s sword, using it to open a portal to other worlds and tear the fabric of reality.

Shadow Weaver remained in custody until Angella sacrificed herself to save Adora and restore reality.

After Angella’s death, Glimmer took the throne. Castaspella helped her cope with the grief and organized the coronation ceremony.

Shadow Weaver and Glimmer unexpectedly grew close. Shadow Weaver began teaching Glimmer magic, but Glimmer soon realized she was being manipulated and distanced herself.

Eventually, Horde Prime invaded Etheria, enslaving its people with a hypnotic beam. The main Rebellion forces were soon overwhelmed, and Horde Prime eventually reached Mystacor.

At this point, Castaspella was forced to join forces with Shadow Weaver, despite their mutual dislike. Throughout their journey, they exchanged barbed remarks until they opened up to each other in the forest. Shadow Weaver revealed that she knew where all the magic of Etheria was stored, that it could stop Horde Prime, and that she needed Castaspella’s help to find it. She also told Castaspella that if she ever tried to take the magic for herself, Castaspella would have to stop her.

It was a deeply emotional, intense, and even intimate moment.

Together, they gained access to Arcsea, and led Adora, Glimmer, Catra, and Bow to it.

After that, their paths diverged. Castaspella fought alongside everyone else in the final battle against Horde Prime, while Shadow Weaver sacrificed herself to save Adora and Catra. She survived, but lost all her magical abilities.

The members of the Rebellion were at odds for a long time over what to do with Shadow Weaver, who had done so much evil, but had ultimately led them to victory, and eventually decided to hand her over to Castaspella, since Shadow Weaver had been a subject of Mystacor before the war.]

Lore: Mystacor is one of the main seven Kingdoms of Etheria and it is the realm where most of Etheria’s sorcerers are known to reside.

Mystacor is a floating island among the clouds with a light violet color, and is home to all known sorcerers of Etheria. Mystacor is entered through a floating platform of land that is gotten on through jumping through a mist of clouds. This platform will take you to the floating island of Mystacor. The kingdom remains a secret from most Etherians except for a select few.

The Lunarium and the Hall of Sorcerers are important buildings inside Mystacor. Mystacor also boasts peaceful cloud beaches, tranquil gardens, and healing thermal springs in a steam grotto. The springs are often used by sorcerers before casting spells or engaging in a ceremony, but they're also simply calming to the mind. Unlike how these locations would naturally appear in nature, they are all purple in color.

The Horde is a brutal military formation trying to capture Etheria and opposing The Rebellion. The center of the Horde on Etheria is the Fright Zone.
