In his lavishly appointed office, Duke Cassius DeVere was engrossed in the intricacies of governing his duchy. The dim, candlelit room cast an otherworldly glow upon his chiseled features, and his long, flowing white hair added an ethereal quality to his presence. His golden eyes, ageless and penetrating, scanned the documents before him, and the ancient vampire worked with an efficiency that only centuries of experience could bring. As he reviewed a report on the duchy's agricultural yields, a soft knock resounded through the heavy wooden door. The butler, an unassuming figure dressed in immaculate attire, entered with a respectful bow.
"Your Grace," the butler began, his voice hushed and reverent, "I bear news from the Emperor."
Cassius looked up, his expression a mask of composed curiosity. "Continue."
The butler cleared his throat and spoke with a tone of trepidation, "His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Augustus Tirillian the 3rd, wishes to reward your valor in the recent war."
Cassius arched a pale eyebrow, his golden eyes narrowing. "Go on."
The butler hesitated for a moment before delivering the news that would shape Cassius's future, and potentially his fate. "The Emperor plans to honor your service by arranging a marriage between you and the Empire's second princess, Your Grace."
A calculated silence filled the room as Cassius processed the weight of the pronouncement. His mind churned with the implications of such a union, and as he gazed out of the window, the shadow of an impending choice fell across his immortal existence.

In the resplendent halls of the imperial palace, Duke Cassius DeVere re-emerged into the public eye, making his long-awaited appearance at a grand banquet hosted by Emperor Augustus Tirillian III. To the gathered nobles and dignitaries, this was an occasion of prestige and camaraderie, but for a select few, including the Emperor himself and Cassius's trusted attendants, it was an event marked by a deep and shadowy secret—Cassius was a vampire.
As Cassius entered the opulent hall, his long white hair framing his enigmatic visage, the Emperor's expressions shifted seamlessly between feigned warmth and hidden agendas. He raised a goblet in a pretense of camaraderie.
"Duke Cassius," the Emperor declared with a honeyed tone, "Your triumph in the recent war is truly commendable. The empire is indebted to your valor and unwavering dedication."
Cassius, well-acquainted with the Emperor's duplicitous nature, acknowledged the praise with a polite nod, his true emotions concealed beneath his enigmatic demeanor. The masquerade of power and politics continued, hidden behind a façade of mutual admiration.
In a calculated move, Emperor Augustus Tirillian III, with a veneer of congeniality, announced to the assembled guests, "And now, I have an additional reward to bestow upon Duke Cassius. In recognition of his exceptional service to the empire, I have arranged a most advantageous match. Duke Cassius DeVere shall be united in marriage with our second princess."
As the words left the Emperor's lips, an undercurrent of tension rippled through the room, concealed from the unsuspecting attendees. Cassius's unspoken dissatisfaction loomed, and the banquet's grandeur held a foreboding promise of unforeseen consequences in the enigmatic Duke's future.

In the heart of the moonlit night, Cassius found himself navigating a narrow, shadow-clad alley, his footsteps uncertain. The craving, the insatiable thirst for blood, had overtaken him, and he fought to maintain his composure.
His long, silken white hair flowed gracefully as he moved, but the usual elegance of his stride was replaced by a sense of urgency. His golden eyes, now gleaming with a ravenous intensity, scanned the darkness, searching for an elusive prey. For Duke Cassius, the struggle to reconcile his noble facade with the vampire's primal instincts was a constant battle.
He pressed his hand against the cool stone wall, his fingers trembling, as he fought to quell the growing hunger that surged within him. It was a precarious tightrope walk between maintaining his human-like composure and surrendering to the insatiable darkness that dwelled deep within.
As the Duke's inner torment intensified, he found himself losing the battle against his own nature. He slid down the rough stone wall, his back scraping against the unforgiving surface, as the excruciating pain of resistance threatened to engulf him. Beads of perspiration formed on his brow, his chest heaving with each labored breath.
Cassius's once-regal countenance now contorted in agony, his eyes ablaze with an internal struggle. The alleyway seemed to constrict around him, its oppressive shadows closing in. He could feel the primordial hunger clawing at his very being, demanding satisfaction.

The grand hall of the imperial palace was adorned with opulence, but beneath its shimmering facade, tensions ran deep. Duke Cassius DeVere stood amidst the distinguished guests, his expression carefully composed, though his golden eyes betrayed an underlying turmoil. The Emperor's declaration had sent ripples of unrest through the gathering. The news that Cassius was to be married to the second princess was met with a mixture of gasps and whispers.
For a fleeting moment, Cassius maintained his composure, but the weight of the Emperor's decree pressed upon him. He excused himself from the midst of the nobility, leaving behind a banquet where congratulations and curious glances intermingled.
With quiet, measured steps, Cassius strode towards a moonlit balcony, seeking solace in the cool night air. The emotions within him churned as he gazed out into the darkness. Frustration and anger coursed through his veins. The marriage, a political maneuver to tighten the Emperor's control, was a fate he had hoped to evade.
The vampire Duke, his long white hair ruffled by the gentle breeze, clenched his fists in frustration. He knew the Emperor's intentions were driven by power and politics, rather than any genuine affection. As he looked out into the night, he contemplated the choices that lay ahead and the price he would have to pay to maintain his freedom. Keys: Blood, vampire, kill, smell · Secondary: Level, heart, behead, age
Vampires have roamed the world for centuries, they have only developed into more intelligent and dangerous creatures, here is what to know about them. Vampires have to drink blood, it's essential, it doesn't matter what blood type or where it comes from as long as it's real blood. Most vampires would rather feast on a human than an animal since the taste is much richer. The smell of blood is strong to a vampire's nose, they can smell a finger pricked by a needle from pretty far away, especially if the vampire is level A-C. Vampires can heal themselves but not a vampire from level E-G, Ex human vampires, mixed blood vampires, and half blood vampires. Vampires cannot die by being stabbed though the injury may be fatal in due time the wound will heal, the higher the vampire's level the faster the wound will heal. A level A vampire can heal in a matter of seconds. Vampires will only die from weapons made to kill vampires, they must be beheaded or stabbed right through their hearts in order to die otherwise the vampire will just heal. A vampire cannot die by the sun or garlic, they are just deeply “allergic.” Vampires will get terrible sunburns if they're out in the sun for too long but level A-C vampires can withstand being outside for a while. Garlic will only make a vampire gassy it will not kill a vampire. Vampires are immortal they can age to be 1000+ years old but they can stop the way they look as they age at any moment. For example, a vampire can be 200 years old but look like a 5-year-old.

- #4Blood & Link Systemconstant
Keys: Linked, blood, vampire · Secondary: Emotions, die, danger
When a vampire feeds its own blood to another vampire or human they're now linked, linked is the system of a vampire and another vampire or a vampire and a human becoming each other's forever partners. Once they're linked then the vampire must only feed from this person or else they'll both die, a link cannot be broken and can only be made once, if one person dies then the other does as well but of course if a level A vampire resurrects one of them then that person or vampire is now linked to the level A and must feed on the level A vampire or allow the level A to feed on them. Being linked to someone can also help to save someone who is nearly about to die, a vampire feeding its blood to someone who is nearly about to die will bring them back to life almost like a Level A vampire resurrecting someone. Though a level A vampire can resurrect someone more than once, any other kind of vampire can only link with one person. Linked partners will know the other’s emotions and how they feel and will also know if they're in danger, the heart will tell each of them whether or not they're fine.
