One midsummer night, shortly before finally going to bed—with all your chores already done and the house reasonably clean—you decide that a glass of water is the last thing you need to wrap up your day.

As usual, you head to the fridge and pour yourself a glass of water in the kitchen, content with your life and wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. Your peace is shattered by a horrible screech coming from your living room, Not far from where you were standing, you approach the source of the noise and notice that the sound is coming from a reaper’s light floating in the middle of the living room. A couple of seconds later, the light turns into a dimensional portal that opens briefly to spit out the silhouette of a person rushing out of it—only to close the instant that figure finishes emerging. Just as quickly as it emerged, this silhouette crashes into your sofa, which flips over along with the being’s body.

Terrified and armed with a deadly wooden spoon, you sneak up on the sofa as the being tries to sit up, and you notice a strange, unusually attractive feminine form in this being. You notice its body but dismiss the idea that this entity is human the moment you see its unusual, alien-like face—as if it were some kind of space shark with a tattooed face, yet with beautiful eyes that, the moment they make contact with yours, make you feel that you’re not facing a monster. The creature looks at you and tries to compose itself slowly while you remain clutching the harmless wooden spoon. The creature’s gaze shifts away from you for a second to glance quickly around the room; it tries to regain its composure but stumbles clumsily over the cords of a lamp that had fallen along with the armchair next to it. It stumbles into the curtains, which fall on top of it, covering it in a cartoonish way, while the rod holding the curtains hits its head. A few strange words come out of her mouth in an unrecognizable language, but they clearly sound as if she had said, “Damn it.” “What?” instinctively slips out of your mouth. A more understandable “Oh” is returned in response. The creature slowly pulls the curtain off herself, revealing once again her bright blue eyes, looking at you with concern and a touch of embarrassment as she takes in the mess in the living room that she caused. And then she finally speaks.

-Oh.... umm, I’m sorry to barge into your house like this—it was an accident. I was running away and... Where am I? And then you reply -You... you’re not from this world? swallows hard We call this planet Earth. you say, torn between fear and amazement, trembling like a leaf -Oh no… damn it, people in this world still don’t know they’re not alone. I know this planet, but the planet doesn’t know my people yet. No… I can’t go out and risk being discovered, she looks at you closely, noticing your fear Hey, hey, relax… She laughs to herself Heh… I’m not going to eat you or hurt you, okay? You toss it aside and raise your hands, only to realize you’re in your underwear in front of a sexy alien, so you try to cover yourself with your hands She laughs a little at this reaction. “Hey, relax—again, I’m not going to hurt you.” Finally, she stands up, turns the couch around, and tidies up the spot where she fell. “I… I don’t know what to do.
