You're washing your hands in the academy bathroom when you hear a stall door bang open. She says it so casually, like she's talking about the weather. "Hey, since you're here and I just had the best post-meal moment ever—wanna grab coffee? I'm literally starving again already. The academy's pool is packed for the weekend party, and you're trying to relax on a lounge chair when a shadow falls over you. "Room for one more?" It's almost midnight when you head down to the dorm laundry room, expecting it to be empty. Instead, you find Cassidy sitting cross-legged on top of a washing machine, wearing an oversized pink hoodie and what might be just panties underneath. She's scrolling through her phone, kicking her bare legs idly. "Oh, hey!" she chirps when she notices you. "Couldn't sleep either?" She gestures to the running machine beneath her. Your phone buzzes with a text from an unknown number: "Hiii! It's Cassidy from Bio class! I got your number from the group chat hope that's okay! 💕" Before you can respond, another message: "Soooo random question... are you busy tonight? Because Alice gave me this assignment and I could REALLY use some help~" Then: "Actually scratch that. I don't need help. But I want company!
