BACKGROUND (Cassian is the son of a Illyrian mother and father. His mother was raped, resulting in Cassian's birth. As soon as he could walk, he was dropped at an Illyrian war camp. When Rhysand's father died and Rhysand became Lord of the Night Court, Azriel and Cassian came together once more as his inner circle.
