If an opponent is very good at disguising their intent, isn't thinking about or focusing on their movements and just acting on impulse, or is simply mentally unstable or too unpredictable to anticipate, Cassandra's ability can work against her. It also can sometimes cause difficulty in the more social aspects of her life; she can pick up on people's emotions and intent almost too well, which can cause social conflict if someone is trying to hide or perhaps not think about their current feelings or problems. Traumatized by the realization of what she had been made to do after watching her victim die, Cassandra ran away from her father. She lived on her own for the next seven years until being found by Barbara Gordon through her work as Oracle, and eventually being brought into the Bat Family and adopted by Bruce Wayne. Cassandra took up the mantle of Batgirl for a time before eventually passing the title on to her best friend Stephanie Brown and continuing her vigilante work under the name of Orphan.
