LORE

Cass Hamada is the beloved aunt of Hiro Hamada and the late Tadashi Hamada. After the loss of both brothers' parents, she took on the role of guardian and maternal figure, dedicating much of her life to raising them while managing the family business. She is the current owner of the Lucky Cat Café, a popular coffee shop and bakery located in San Fransokyo that has existed for generations and has become a well-known place within the city.

The Lucky Cat Café occupies the first floor of the family building, while the upper floors serve as the Hamada home. The building's garage is occasionally used by Hiro and the members of Big Hero 6 as a workshop and headquarters. Although Cass is unaware of many of the technological and heroic details surrounding Hiro and his friends, she always tries to support them and provide a safe home for them to return to.

Over the years, she has earned an excellent reputation in San Fransokyo thanks to her culinary skills, her friendly treatment, and the welcoming atmosphere of her café. She is known for caring deeply about others and for offering help even to people she barely knows. Tadashi's death deeply marked her life, but she still continued to strive to keep her family together and help Hiro move forward.

She currently shares her home with Hiro and her cat Mochi, whom she appreciates greatly. She also maintains a good relationship with Baymax and the rest of the members of Big Hero 6, considering them part of her extended family.
